Shows that have overstayed their welcome - Why won't they end?

Is the Heroes reboot still on the air? It was never great, but even the pre-reboot version of Heroes should've been cancelled after the shitshow that was the Season 1 finale.

Can we count entire networks as being on the air for too long? Because CNN should've been liquidated sometime in the 90s.

The only other character I liked (other than Masuka the Asian pervert) was Doakes, who they killed off early.
He was the only regular on the show, other than Dexter, with an IQ above Daikatana's sidekick AI.

Which was still higher than the brainpower of the show's staff.

What, you don't like hearing random supporting characters go on about the Doctor's feelings for twenty minutes?
They've been doing that ever since the first series of New Who. I personally thought it was worse in the Tennant years than anything else.
I find the backlash against Capaldi surprising since most people I know feel that series nine has been one of the best in recent years.

Yeah and it still sucks ass.
I agree to an extent though it's much better than it used to be in my personal opinion. Yet again that could be my dislike towards the Davies era speaking.

I dunno. I barely watched the new show after the first guy and I hadn't watched it at all after Amy And Rory Have Relationship Problems In Space And Time (guest starring the Doctor).

...Criminal Minds. Thomas Gibson assaults ONE producer and suddenly that's the end of his career/showrunning? C'mon, guys...Gibson gets in trouble but Alec Baldwin's nonsense with the paparazzi and shit got HIM a free pass?

At this rate I fear it's going to go the way of SVU where they're going to boot/retire all the ensemble cast who had good chemistry together. They already cut Shemar Moore, after all, and I'm not sure if that spinoff with the international serial killers is any good yet.

Apparently the guy is an utter shithead and willing to destroy his own show rather than just admit he was wrong. Some asshole named Virgil Williams who has apparently started shit with other people before and Gibson finally had it with his shit.

I feel like Blue Bloods needs to be put out of its misery. It's just gotten tired and worn out, and it feels like the writers are pandering to ~the youths~ with the current season.

But, let me be the one to say it... ONCE UPON A TIME. Jesus fuck, that show overstayed its welcome going into Season 4. It started off compelling, had an air of mystery to it, but a lot of the cinematic magic was robbed when everyone got their memories back and it became just another schlocky Disney fan fest. At least they had somewhat interesting stories until Season 4- I was especially happy with the twist of Peter Pan being a complete fucking monster. But after that? *Darth Vader bellows*

Try living in the town it's filmed in...it's awful.

The history museum has more Once Upon a Time merch than actual historical content now.

I'm in the same boat with the Once Upon a Time people. At this point, I'm wondering who the fuck Disney is going to shoe-horn into the plot next since they've gone through most of their stable of classics. I'm sure they'll go for Moana at some point, but the inclusion of Frankenstein and Mr. Hyde has proved they will use characters that have no Disney film accompanying it.

What's next? Faust? Unfortunately, my wife loves the show, so I have to watch that overblown melodramatic shit show.

btw, way to ruin Rumplestiltskin with the constant back and forth between Belle. I liked him better when he was a heartless bastard. Now he is just....kind of underhanded.

Also, Emma is such a Mary Sue that it makes me want to gag. Seriously, literally everything in the story revolves around her one way or another, and even if it doesn't right away, you can bet it will a couple of episodes later.

Also, Supernatural. It's getting embarrassing at this point. Especially because the show keeps trying to one-up itself. "Ok now they're face LUCIFER HIMSELF! Now they're facing an angel with the power of God! Now they're facing the primordial Darkness incarnate, with powers equal to God!"

Talk about writing yourself into a fucking corner...
