Another thing I wanted to note is that a lot of the game’s dickriders keep defending the shitty combat by claiming survival horror/Silent Hill has always had bad combat and that it’s bad by design.
proof they've never felt the sheer power of the hammer in SH1 or the shotgun blasting things into bits in SH2. Nor the feeling of the stun gun and katana combo in SH3.

True, but irrelevant and misleading. Collective Shout is not a Christian organization and does not invoke Christianity in any way shape or form and is not successful due to Christianity whatsoever. It's explicitly a feminist organization that is staffed by a variety of feminists (who probably have strong disagreements on religious issues) and is focused on the feminist issue of stopping the sexualization of women.
I never made the claim that they were a Christian organization, just that they're not leftist. However, since you mention it, I do think they're crypto conservative Christian due to Tankard-Reist's influence. I think it's naive to assume that an organization's leader isn't influential in it's culture. For example, abortion is considered a "feminist" issue and CS is mum on the issue. I suspect that it's because TR is a pro-life lobbyist. Either way, though, this isn't the be autistic about game censorship thread so we should probably stop sperging about it.

Wait, the protagonist has a wolf arm, or the boss? I came here to see how f was since I forgot about it and I think this sentence sums it up
Protagonist.
Like I get nowadays there's a zillion dudes squeezing their meat to this shit but back in the day it felt so inconsequential to the point where I can't recall feeling any kind of sexual thoughts about it until animu started really playing it up by focusing on it.
I’ve never seen underwear as sexual. Must just be a Japanese thing or an anime thing, because anime was the first time where I’ve seen it treated as such. Or that weird shit they do in anime where they steal women’s panties. I’ve never been aroused by a piece of clothing. Maybe seeing a woman only in her underwear or in a bikini is different, but that’s because she’s in less clothing, not the clothing itself.

So I watched half of a playthrough with the Japanese audio and even though I'm not someone who can read/speak japanese much. I do notice that some of the words being said aren't being picked up or don't match completely.

So I watched a playthrough of the English dub with the same subtitles and everything matched there...

Did these motherfuckers just copy and paste the English subtitles for the English dub over the Japanese dub and called it a day?

IKR. Their articles have been featured in very left leaning publications like the Huffington Post and the Guardian, it says so right on their website. And people forget being Christian doesn't magically mean conservative in today's world. You have a lot for liberal churches using Christianity as a vassal to push social justice.

I think you can make interesting media about feminism in Asia, it's not like the west that there was an imbalance in powers but women were still acknowledged as human. In some places in China it's still customary to do "post birth abortion" for girls. It's an entirely different level of gender war that resulted in the Pendulum shift of insane feminist cultists in Korea and sub 1 replacement rate.

Sadly this is very common with subtitles in general.

And the game is cracked. Called it again. Although like last time, I actually applaud konami for not wasting money on the grift that is denuvo. They still need to work on the whole "make a game that isn't half-assed shit" though. Probably give it a try tonight.

Sadly yes. It's a very lazy copout we're seeing more and more of these days. Localization really isn't that expensive either.

I guess the meaning of Silent Hill morphed into just your darkest inner psyche, aka hell or the underworld, with that drug she takes acting as a catalyst. This is just a darker, feminist-friendly version of that typical tale of dream/inner psyche female-centered fairy tales like The Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland, a sort of female version of the "hero's journey." Basically, if you want to play a better version of this, just play the American McGee's Alice games.

that would be a rare example of using a video game to shine a light on and critique something actually worthy of scorn. But these are the Chinese we are talking about. Remember who funds your projects, gwelio.

The stupid werewolf hand she gets for literally one boss battle is such a massive missed opportunity.

Like what if instead of that there's some body horror shit where throughout the game she becomes progressively more wolflike and feral and it's a metaphor for Honoko's fear of puberty and her wolf like traits make her better at combat at the cost of her sanity meter draining faster?

Why is everyone so uncreative? Why am I better at this than people who get paid six or seven figures to do it?

Hell, just rip off the Rooter concept from Clock Tower 3. No one's using it anyways

It’s not for just one boss battle, it’s a weapon you have for the remainder of the game after it replaces one of the Hinakos’ (yes you play as two versions of her) original arms.

Also autistic correction but it’s a fox hand, there’s a whole fox/Inari motif. It may as well be a werewolf hand with how big and hairy they made it though.

But yes, if they were so insistent on including this stupid thing they could’ve at least done something like that.
