For anyone "blowing up" is unlikely. But for Rob it is 100% impossible, even if he overcame his lolcow reputation. He just isn't competent enough. That's what it comes down to. Rob doesn't see how outdated his shtick has became why it fails in the modern internet landscape if he started up now. The whole angry character shtick lost it's charm like a decade ago. People like Doug Walker have largely left behind the angry style reviews in favor of just doing normal reviews and even James Rolfe is hardly angry in the AVGNs anymore. People just aren't into characters like that anymore and just prefer normal fucking videos by regular people nowadays. None of the angry reviewers of the old days would be given any kind of chance in the modern YouTube landscape if they tried it now. Some of them have found new success like UrinatingTree with his sportsball content but most of them like Rob were never able to adapt and that's why they were left behind. They all just jumped on board at the right time early on.
