I think it's a combination of both. He likes women who are destitute and a little fucked up because they are easy, and those types tend to look a little screwy by default. A woman with agency and independence is Rob's worse nightmare. He wants them codependent and subservient.

The funniest part of Rob's disdain for James Rolfe is he started his whole Internet career by white knighting for James. The only reason Rob ever turned on AVGN is because Rob thought he struck gold with riffing on bad video game box art. A low effort, windows movie maker slideshow. James put actual production into his video. Something Rob could never.
He deleted the stream after, nothing worth archiving anyways. Just a bunch of talking about games with chat and "I'm gonna be streaming Mega Manz tommorow. I got all day, be there bitches" which knowing his track record likely isn't go do to.
It was absolutely worthless and legit hard to watch.
The movie probably isn't even gonna happen at this point. He's too lazy to even pull up game streams anymore instead making streams laying in his bed or driving to get weed. He barely has motivation to even put out content anymore, he knows the movie isn't gonna get the views he wants so he's probably not even gonna bother. He says it's finished and made him cry (oh what tearjerker performances are we missing, the suspense is killing me) so why hold it back from the fans?
Imagine you're Brandon Lowe and your junkie brother created a fake Facebook profile to harass you, so he could win sympathy from people he fleeced money from. He uses another child's face and attaches your child's name to it and blasts it out there. He fakes phone calls with you to support his story.
