Honestly I could care less about the weird fetish art, it's the sheer, almost incomprehensible stupidity the furry fandom spawns which fascinates me.

I'm not gonna say that there isn't. I'd be a downright liar. Maybe I simply hang around the right people or something, but most of the ones I talk to on a regular basis are pretty reasonable for the most part. At least, around the same amount as the average person. Perhaps with less shame, though.

Of course there's cool people in every fandom, but the general rule of fandoms is they are far and few between. The dumb people in the furry fandom though, can surpass the level of homestuck fandom stupidity. Which is no small feat.

I'd go as far as to state that it's not just fandoms, but any group in general because the general rule of humanity is that people are idiots. I get the feeling that perhaps the reason fandoms get so much shit for something that applies to everything is because the stupidity is condensed and unified into groups of people with similar interests as opposed to being everywhere and scattered. While some fandoms are worse then others, I think furries are far more civil and respectable than the SuperWhoLock or Steven Universe fandoms. I don't know anything about the Homestuck fandom, though, so I can't argue that point aside that my interactions with most furries have been neutral or positive.

I'm not trying to say furries are innocent, because the bad reputation isn't undeserved, but I do think it's a little overblown. It has started to clean up its act a bit, but I really fear that the SJW invasion of the furry fandom will be the undoing of the progress that was made, as little as it may be.

Hell, I'd scout out Tumblr furries to talk about (since I want to clean up the fandom, at least what they do in public), but my computer crashes whenever I go to Tumblr for some reason.

It's too humanized and too common a name, but he clearly can't think ahead. I doubt he even knows what "Simba" means (which, besides being the Swahili word for "lion", means "strength" in Shona, so even double irony for this guy). But the name "Leo" was also made popular by Christians, and he wants nothing to do with Christians. Even then, there's the name "Leonard" which means "brave lion" and he's anything but brave and a lion.
