Listening to the audio of the 911 call, I’m legitimately curious as to how that devolved into an officer involved shooting.
I’m assuming it had something to do with him being insanely paranoid and some serious mental health issues regarding them taking his gun(s) and/or entering his apartment. That being said, I’m not 100% convinced it was a premeditated attempt at suicide by cop, especially given the circumstances regarding the original call, though, that stress may have pushed him to the brink and into an attempt to “end it all” so to speak.

On the other hand, if it was a suicide attempt, Jesus Christ “Simba”, can’t you do anything right?

Generally cop-killers (or, to a lesser degree, attempted cop killers) get some level of respect in prison among the inmates (and the opposite from the guards). But even if he took out a dozen cops I don't think it would make up for him being a fucking furry with "Simba Lion" as his name.

Most furries tend to either lean far-left (or some form of left at least), or are/appear apolitical. There are right leaning furries, but usually they tend to follow the Conservatism Inc. brand media personalities, college campus "libtard slayers", and Tucker Carlson. There are relatively few far-right furries and that's because the far-right fucking hates them. Even on the right, being a furry is painting a target on yourself as furries show up in every cringe compilation and tend to do stupid shit. Internet subcultures that love to mock furries also tend to mock political furries harder as well as a rule of thumb. With nobody within or outside of the furry fandom ready to support them, they're going to be very uncommon.

While the right might either refuse to support or outright hate furries, the left embraces them. Furries show up at pride parades, furries get into every left leaning political fight on Twitter, and furries went balls deep on identity politics. That's why their benchmark for cleaning up the fandom is kicking out those who were branded as a Nazi, not actually cleaning up the sex offenders.

I mean if anything I'd say your stereotypical conservative would have no idea what furries even are, but I think they're mainstream enough where even the most vanilla normies have some inkling about them at this point. There do seem to be plenty of furries who are into the whole "alt right" thing, or at least parroting back the imagery and talking points, though that isn't exactly real conservatism. I think, as with a lot of autists and lolcows, they just like the imagery.

Furries do tend to be extremely sexual, albeit usually in weird and inappropriate ways. Even more so than just fetishizing anthropomorphic cartoon characters. I think a lot of the homosexuality and troonery is more out of desperation because no actual women, and very few men, would even deign to touch them, than it is from any actual preference. That said, they also do tend to be quite racist (aside from fetishizing East Asian culture). Essentially they are 4chan or reddit, but in real life.

Weirdly the furries and the LGBTQ community have gotten wrapped together thanks to all the social justice crap, and now the SJWs keep wanting to expand it to include or even justify pedos too. I'm not sure if theres some sort of masochism where they feel they need to attach themselves to the most hated groups or something but it's not doing them any favors. When conservatives talked about a "slippery slope" back in the 80s and 90s it seemed ridiculous. Accepting gays as equal seemed quite reasonable. Now we have idiots pushing for pedos to get equal rights too and packaging it into the gay rights groups.

Ever saw any bodycam footage? American cops are very bad at de-escalating situations. If he vemently didn't want to give up his gun and they demanded he'd do so I can imagine very well how it went down. Wouldn't even blame them in this case. A gun is a gun.
