Hah. He came in after I looked at the post. Esteban in there is another old-school cow, more low key than Jim. On the classic MRA tip, as you can see there.

And while I agree 100% that Jim is the king of Cool Story, Bro, the Simba story has the combo of accessible easy laughs/cheap heat that shitty morning jocks love.

Not sure if he had a job, but losing his apartment, then whatever the issue was with the exterminators, coupled with 0-100 now the cops are here, probably just sent him over the edge.

Actually on the call back to 911 he mentioned he didn't want the cops to come because he had to "get to work" but apparently they were already on the scene

More accurately, he said he had to "get back to work." Which, if you re-listen how he said it, could be anything from turning tricks online to just household chores. (Or just a bullshit line to appease the normies and make the cops go away.)

What I'm almost 100% certain it WASN'T is "I left work to supervise the exterminators and had actual plans to then drive back to work." In fact, if he's worried the landlord is gonna sneak in and change the locks, there's no way he's gonna leave in the middle of the day anyways. Also explains why he's going to be paranoid when the cops, who are listening to the pest control guys who are "doing this thing" against him, want him to hand over his gun and step outside.

And then we know he wasn't too worried about getting to work on time anyways, because he decided to play pew pew with the popo. So that part's bullshit anyways.

TL;DR: You can't infer from that one line that this guy is gainfully employed. Also, gainfully employed people don't get evicted.
