Honestly, I'd feel a lot better if he was the one that was shot. Steven was more of a garden variety furfag nutcase that just snapped. Chris is far more scary I think.

Well he's a Britbong, so it's pretty unlikely. All I've heard is he's supposed to be in legal trouble? It's very hard to find out because the UK authorities are usually pretty tight lipped when it comes to investigations and records.

For this Simba's many faults, he wasn't running a doxing cult which distributes crush and revenge porn.

I expect it to go pretty much without any real note from anyone in the furry community. Simba wasn't well though of, didn't really have many friends, wasn't a good artist, wasn't an especially prolific commissioner and it even seems like he managed to make artists regret working with him so like; I'm guessing maybe three people will make a 'We stand with simba, he dindu noffin.' post or try and defend what he did but like. Dipshit shot at a bunch of cops, like, the fuck else would happen.

I'd expect furries to chimp if like, someone who matters in the fandom gets killed by the police but like, general consensus among the circles I'm in ranges from 'Who?' to "Oh that guy? Whatever." to just laughing about it with the majority not even knowing who the fuck he is.

Maybe if Jay Naylor goes apeshit and tries to Waco it out with police you'd see the fandom chimping but ol' Simba here, nah.

MONROE, MI -- Simba Lion, the 40-year-old man who police say was the suspect in the shooting of a pair of Monroe police officers, has died.

In a tweet sent out Monday afternoon, Michigan State Police said Lion died over the weekend. Authorities did not release any more details, other than to say the investigation continues.

UPDATE: The suspect, Simba Lion remains in stable condition at this time after additional surgery at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. The investigation is ongoing.

Lion was named as a suspect in the Nov. 19 shooting by police, but it appears he never left the hospital after being shot by officers who returned fire at him. Lion was taken to a Toledo hospital following the incident and was listed in critical condition two weeks ago, in the last MSP update on his condition.

The two officers shot in the incident were treated and released form the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The ordeal unfolded after maintenance workers arrived at Lion’s apartment in the 700 block of Washington Street. According to WTOL, a pair of 911 calls show an argument began taking place and both the worker and Lion called 911. In one of the calls, a 911 dispatcher told Lion to holster his gun when police arrived or he would be treated as a hostile.

It is unclear what exactly happened when officers arrived, but police say Lion fired at the two officers, injuring them. More officers arrived and fire was returned at Lion, who was struck. WTOL also reports Lion was served with an eviction notice the day before the shooting took place.

The maintenance worker was with pest control workers who were spraying the apartment for cockroaches when the initial argument began.
