That's the real issue here. It's he said, she said and the three sides forming in response are "believe all women," "all women are lying whores," and "this sounds absolutely uncharacteristic from Simpleflips and every single person he knows is sticking up for him so I don't believe what she's saying"
From what I've seen of him he's a genuine guy but that's difficult to say of any online content creator. However, he made that romhacking website and I don't think (I'm not in the scene) it's like monetized/scamming contributors out the ass or anything so he's at least not a grifter. And just today because I saw this thread he posted this:
I dunno what the sponsor is but if he's saying it was a bad call he's clearly not above saying when he fucked up even if he loses face. And it seems the comments, albeit they're probably all glazers, respect it. These sorts of relationship google dockey fights are always annoying to me because it's people trying to win in the court of public opinion. Didn't an entire gaggle of ex's try to cancel him before and nothing happened, and now this is just round 2?

It's a "short-term cash advance service" called Klover. Apparently they don't make money off interest like payday loans, but just sell your bank and credit card activity and data. They also have a separate budgeting service that's probably dogshit.

Another questionable aspect is that they automatically take the money from your bank account on your next paycheck, and I've seen complaints of people online where the system misjudges when their paycheck is scheduled and support doesn't help.

This is the least of their crimes but I hate when companies say they "can't" do things and provide a vague justification when it's just their policy. "We can't do something because we made a policy saying we don't do it lol" is such slimy corporate bullshit that it's an instant red flag when you hear it. It'd be like if Walmart said they can't put up "wet floor" signs because their policy is to never put signs on the ground.
