Why does Tumblr have an obsession with vitiligo?

  • Suicide Girl model and America's Next Top Model contestant have it, spread on Tumblr, that's why.

He became the mexican kid who eats his own boogers and tries to trick people into saying swear words.

You'd certainly believe that a capeshit franchise featuring a cast of Japanese superheroes is diverse in itself. How many mainstream Asian superheroes are there?

These types of Boku no Hero Academia fan artists crow about diversity and representation, all the while stripping Asians of their own by turning iconic Japanese characters into hairy, afro-latina troons in hijabs.

The fandom appears to have a strong penchant for projecting itself heavily onto the characters. It's why there are so many argumentative fujoshit shippers and fandom police that will use social justice rhetoric to enforce their headcanons on anyone they can.

I'm not even a fan of the series, but all I've read are horror stories about its fans.

This thing is more suitable at Shipping wars thread. But here is for more context:
Some twitter user crying just because Parker Simmons said two characters were friends. The author did say ship whatever they like, but his intention is to show a male friendship without fear or reservation.
Sadly, no archive of that long twitter thread, it seems to be also deleted too. Have these images instead.

There are still a couple more tweet threads of them being salty, it's a bit long and I don't want to make this post longer, here 1st one and 2nd one (it's the third image above). Some notes: pronouns in bio, a furry and a Koreaboo.

So, "I'm gonna try and get the creator of a show I like fired because he said the characters I ship aren't gay". Entitled much?

It's really sad. People used to cringe at fujoshis who slapped together any two dicks who tickled their fancy. But this is a whole other level. The creator just clarified the relationship. It was his vision to create an unrestrained relationship between two male friends. It was not his goal to create gay furry buttsex for a bunch of genderspecials to masturbate to.

Nothing is stopping you from shipping them. I don't see what the point of having an autistic meltdown over it is. I guess that's autism for ya.

So some new androgynous character for the Pokemon anime was revealed recently and fags and r'tards are already crawling over themselves to declare them "a non-binary/doesn't identify uwu!!!" because grils can't wear pants and guys can't be pretty, I guess. (Un)fortunately this potato piece is the worst I could find

(The best take I've seen was someone admonishing the "crusty old unwoke men reee" writers for the terrible, incomprehensible decision of making the female characters of the show look... actually female, before jumping on the nb bandwagon. As if these writers would suddenly jump from being total patriarchal shitlords to abandoning basic design readability for whatever the fuck these fucks think they;re getting here)

Yeah, I think there is nothing wrong having head canons, shipping and all that crap. I think it’s pretty much impossible to really engage with a story based entertainment without having some theories be they about future plots or hidden feelings. The problem comes if you get super mad if your ideas don’t turn up be canon. Sure it’s fine to feel disappointed, even angry but ultimately it’s not your place to dictate what happens. You are just one fan and one consumer among many, you are not that important. If you want, you can tell your opinion to the creator(s) and wider world but nobody has to care. They might but they might not. After that you can only choose to go with flow or leave the park.

Sigh. Androgynous-really? I immediately thought that the guy was obviously a dude because of his backpack, like in SwSh. First we had Allister being non-binary and now this? smh I forget that the Tumblr part of the Pokemon fandom is THIS bad.

I wish more so-called "fans" understood this. This just ruins the notion of what the creator/s had in mind from the start when fans act like they have final say in their projects.
