What I especially hate about Lop is her tendency to make her characters so TEE HEE QUIRKY~. Gotta bake fatfuck food and wear dresses, even if you're a male! It's so unique and gay, you gaiz. Totally not an aftercrop of the LOLZ SO RANDUM phase of the 2000's.
Anyway, Lop doesn't understand masculinity. Masculinity is more than a hairy body and a deep voice. Which is telling because none of her characters act masculine at all, or aren't allowed to. No one acts tough or badass or confident in areas NOT related to flirting. Being a man is more than having a dick, it's also about perseverance, hardiness, wisdom, and courage under fire. I've always admired strong men like that, especially in a world that claims that such male behaviors are "toxic". Lop fits into the latter. I guess that's why all of her male characters are gay.

His Dad, Captain Cutthroat, is pretty badass. But he's supposed to be a homophobic bastard who somehow ruins the lives of his wife and son even though his wife is an alcoholic who got their firstborn killed and his son is just an edgelord who beats people up, something the Captain never did.
Alpha as fuck with the ladies
Badass sea dog, er, pony. Doesn't have time for his edgy son's shit.
Still saves his ungrateful brat's life
And what happens to Captain Cutthroat in the end? He dies miserable and alone with his son and his wife treating him like a monster and basically disowning him. Yeah, the Captain was an asshole and was intolerant of his gay son and (rightfully imo) blamed his wife for killing their firstborn, but the fact that the only masculine badass character of Lop's clown car is the one who never gets redemption and is stuck with a bitter unhappy ending is pretty stupid.
...Again, these are ponies. This SHOULD be lighthearted kiddie shit. Lop just wants to project her daddy issues and weird fetishes on children's cartoons.

Cutthroat was doomed from the start as he was an overtly masculine character. I liked Bruce but I would DEFINITELY wanna spend more spotlight on him. Thinking about it, I realize she doesn't really explore the backstories of her characters outside of her little next gen pantheon. A pantheon of multi colored ponies who she uses to slap pride shit on to. To think I once thought she would be goin places with her art....

So I decided to rummage through Lops Deviantart. Found a few interesting things.
I swear, I see more artists ruin themselves trying to be progressive over being an actual bad person.
Her distates for cis/straight men continues. Here, she admits one of her characters is a predator, seeing how he slept with a young fan and knocked her up.
I then found out that Spike and Thorax had a kid. Asexually. As Thorax laid an egg (idk if they had sex, she didn't say) and out popped this little creature. She says that the changelings dont have a set gender and blah blah blah. More reason to just make men have kids and have valid gay ships.
I didn't even get into the case of the intersex mule boy girl she has. It's boring. Honestly I find it sad, because she does great designs but getting woke broke her creativity. Everyone is gay or trans or special in some way. If you are straight, you are doomed to failed relationships and your kids hating you cause you dont approve of their gay love. Not to mention the redesigns. I hate them.
Why does twilight have fangs? Applejack got a name change and a beard and pinkie has lost all her charm.

Lopoddity apparently hasn't used reddit in 6 years but one of her posts interested me.
Now she is entitled to her opinion and I won't knock her for not liking something popular... but I have the sneaking suspicion its because there were no gay hobbits or trans/gender non conforming elves.
