At one point we suspected he might be Shmorky himself, but we eventually found he was probably just inspired by Shmorky's art style. As a side note I did see that he wasn't very happy about 4chan shitting on him. Not sure which board would be talking about him - it could be /co/ or /ic/, but if he can't take the heat from 4chan, then it's no freakin' wonder why he can't handle edgy humor.

If you don't want criticism then don't post it. Keep it hidden or be ready people not being on a same page. If you put it on display then others can and often will give their thoughts on it, positive, negative, great points, pointless and off topic. That's just how people work, it's not your choise and they don't own you to ask permission. If you don't want response to the criticism that's fine and your choise but that how far it goes.
Also I share majority opinion, it's a fine picture of a black kid but looks absolutely nothing like Tails. Colors, testures and details, nothing gives me a hint this supposed to be tails. Only reason I know because the artist said so. I think if Tails is humanitized he makes most sense as a white as he has yellow fur and blue eyes. Someone might be able to pull off other races too if tactical about it, but this ain't it.

I can see the Black Kid being the side kick in the artist's own thing, though. Sometimes people just do humanizations that are akin to nekos, so he could've done that.
