You know, I can't believe I thought of this only now, but the fact they only darken the skin and call it a day (and in some cases paste over an afro) really exposes their whiteness lol. They like to drag people for not painting black skin correctly, but they don't seem to understand black anatomy at all, it's not racist to acknowledge different races have different facial structures. That's why these recolors always look so off, because it ends up just looking like a Jersey Shore white kid, instead of ya know, an actual black person.

Armin literally looks like he's doing blackface here LMAO, meanwhile here's an actual black person from the same show in comparison.

Dark skin is very reflective though, so there would be a lot of light bouncing on the cheeks, nose, forehead etc. that would make the features easier to see. These fanartists simply paint a plain base color for the skin and add no highlights (no doubt because they don't know how to).

Also the fact that they color every fucking skin type with warm brown tones, when people with very dark skin have colder undertones.

That's not accurate to human skin colour. Warm skin tones start in the yellows, neutral is orange and cool tone is in the reds.

The Leonardo and Zapp picture is especially funny because Zapp is already dark skinned. He's also rude, aggressive, and a womanizer, so making him darker skinned is tone-deaf. But most of the 'blacktober' artists are.

He’s (basically) canonically Indian, and the anime made him even darker than he is in the manga. That’s not good enough though.

I simply HATE how autism is seen as "cute"/"quirky"/"unique"/etc. I HATE it. Mental disorders, genders and disabilities are not "cute" or "trendy" accessories to flaunt. They tend to put autistic AUs or headcanons that are not even plausible in the first place, for example an autistic headcanon for Patchouli Knowledge from Touhou is plausible as she shows autistic cues, but not for, I don't know, Captain America?

Sakura can't even chidori / do lightning style. It looks like they took Hinata's twin lion attack n taped it onto her for the "aesthetic". Sakura is known more for her intelligence, monstrous strength due to her chakra reserves (she can destroy a building or uproot the earth), medical ninjutsu, and she can summon katsuye the slug. She's more support than offence.

She can do Water, Earth, Ying, and Yang release, but eventually learned fire release as an adult.
