Shit, I never even realized this before.
Trans ""people"" believe in some of the most rigid gender roles of any group. Even my granddad who was the most "Greatest Generation" fuck of a man you could meet, God bless his soul, knew that not every man was going to be a lantern jawed Chad and not every woman was going to be a waify domestic. Some people were just going to be girly pansies, butch bitches, and everything in between. You could reinforce proper roles for society, but nothing you could do about individuals like that.
In the 90s, half of every girl in my school wanted to be a grunge tomboy with the flannel jacket around their waist. I'm sure most of that group are now the ones calling for 8 year old boys to wear latex and corsets if they don't like playing with army men toys and Call of Duty.
Somewhere along the line, we normalized mental illness, and now anyone who isn't a stereotypical "Man's Man" or "Girly Girl" must be trans or queer. How the fuck did that happen.

I've been playing this game for years and I can tell you, even if the game has technically some they/them genderspecials characters, it's actually just a bait from the developer to attract this audience. It's very frustrating, they have changed the genders of some Cookies for them to be enbies for no reason other than pandering, for example Snow Sugar Cookie going from boy to enby, or Cinnamon Cookie going from ambiguous to boy. It makes a lot of characters inconsistent and it also changes depending on the translation, like how Fig Cookie is male in Japanese and French but ambiguous or genderspecial in the rest of the translations. Plus most of the characters that end up getting this treatment are either a different species or kids, which honestly is very ironic in retrospect. The company is not doing it for artsy reasons or to have representation, is just bait for Twitter kids and it's very efficient

When it comes to translations always take it with a grain of salt.
Specially in english localizations since localizers have "taking some liberties" recently.
Like in a manga about a crossdressing guy and his BF where it it was changed into the crossdresser being trans. I think Even the author of the manga was not OK with that change.
