Why does Tumblr have an obsession with vitiligo?

Lovin' the amputee representation.
I'm more concerned about that cat's 100-yard stare. It's seen some shit.

For a moment I thought the lady on the right had some misplaced hair on her thigh, but it's just a tattoo. Thank godness.

Going through the Kickstarter; not all of the art is bad actually.

Here's a personal favorite.

This is actually a really nice design. I could see it in an actual magical girl series or as an actual protagonist. However, this art doesn't fit anywhere near the Tumblr hambeasts from above (which are the only ones that will be playable according to the KS page).

So your options are a fat black girl or an obese white girl and yet all the other characters introduced are vastly slimmer and better looking.

Hmmm...

I'm personally so charmed how cats are the main focus of the game, but not only are the two cats in the illustration incredibly tiny, they look borderline traced as if the creator doesn't know what cats look like. Maybe a pig cafe would be more their speed.
It's probably traced at least a little bit. Why have normal (debatable) looking cats and the protags looking like that stone age figure with the big ass tits

Also,
Customizable characters are always a plus on your game.
I know there's no male protagonist because of "toxic masculinity" or something, but I think some sissy boys would like to play this game as a sissy boy, not an ugly girl.

I found a kickstarter with some pretty repulsive artwork:

Hey, long time lurker first time poster here. Maybe a bit :late: with this but these designs made me seethe a little and I decided to put my grubby hands on them.

These two don't have horrendous designs to begin with, but the style they "blessed" these poor girls with is a Frankenstein. Nothing fits together, everything sticks out like a sore thumb, and I'm willing to bet money that they didn't care enough to actually draw any of it themselves. Personally, I really like the idea behind the girl on the left, her outfit is pretty cute and her color palette was going down the right path. Where they majorly fucked up was her hair, which has a nasty amount of unnecessary detail.

I made them both skinnier, especially the girl on the left, because they were near-morbid obese in the beginning. I left the one on the right pretty thick, because the artist seemed to be going for "complimentary opposites" (see: marina and pearl) but failed because they tried to make them both fatasses. I also hue-shifted Left's skintone a bit because it was suffering from "no matter where black person is they'll look as dark as possible" syndrome. I left the background alone because it looked like it was drawn in mspaint and i was too lazy to grace it with a redraw.

forgive my anime-ass style, hope this looks better.

i really hope the image doesn't break :,)

this is some nice work but we have a thread for sjw redraws here

you know how people are drawing bowser as a cute girl?

yeah, that didn't last long
this is actually p good if its intended to be some kinda humanized/genderbent version of bowser, looks more like the canon version

bowsette is a sort of bowser/peach fusion tho isnt it?

this piece reminds me of those flash games that would just nick assets from other places and toss em all together in a questionable collage, it just looks like no part of the picture belongs in the same place
i would not pay money for something like this no matter how the character designs looked

This is lovely.
I hope the devs on that Kickstarter game doesn't see that though so you don't get hunted down

i took another look at that kickstarter page
its ap a 3d rpg of sorts and the in-game models of the characters surprisingly look... somewhat better than the drawing... from afar
it still looks pretty shite tho, esp how the backgrounds and surroundings dont match the characters and the character dont match any other aesthetic aspect whatsoever, really just looks like random chatroom-type game anime girl models running around on a background drawn in mspaint

it feels like something that, even if its genuine, its the kinda thing that banks too much on being tumblr bait and is never gonna pan out and have to return backers' their money

now if anyone wants to actually PLAY the demo on the page go right ahead cause i really cant be bothered
