The artist didn't change names, the dubbers did. Some of character had different names in Swedish and English.

I’ve noticed people who make OCs are people who are seemingly lonely. If you can’t make friends, create friends! Other reasons seem to be sparse and rare.

OCs are just characters you make either for your original works, or for a fandom (previously denoted as FCs.) Pretty much all artists create OCs, it's not exclusively an SJW/loser thing. This thread just highlights all the bad art/artists. There are plenty of good OCs out there (and artists for that matter):

It’s very subtle, but you’ll know what I’m talking about when you see it.

I could go on on the topic of OCs (since i'm a lonely autist, so i fall in that box perfectly), but i will just say that SJW artist OCs are just checkboxes of things every character must fulfill to the point that you can almost archive every SJW OC in a neat archive of archetypes: The horny, the dumb, the bigot with a secret, the perfect snowflake, the soft uwu... Plus, most SJW artists give you a big blurb of what their OC is, who they are and everything they like and dislike rather that discovering through storytelling, actions, adventures...

If they also have a shitty artstyle, it makes it even worse. But that's subjective.

Ah that show, its by Jemaine Clement, not Del Toro, and is set in the same world as the movie (of the same name as the show), which was made by both Clement and Taika Waititi.
While the vampire's assistant in this is most certainly a gay man, I'm pretty sure the vampire he serves is straight, given that he has a preference for finding a wife throughout the show, and doesn't really partake in as many same sex activities as the other vampires do. Not to mention he treats his servant like crap most of the time, and barely acknowledges his feelings since he's just a human there to do everything for him.

Rate me both late and autistic, but Nandor (the vampire) is also bisexual. He uses the term 'wife' because he canonically has had malewives lol. Also him and the other male vampire (Lazlo) fuck like twice in the show, and it's implied that they frequently do so.
Honestly, I'm a bit surprised this crowd has latched onto this ship. It's fairly problematic, what with the age gap (600+ years), the dynamic (master-servant) and Nandor treating Guillermo like shit 80% of the time.
