Why does Tumblr have an obsession with vitiligo?

You know how you'll see remote islands like Madagascar, where they have weird animals like aye ayes and you think to yourself "How in the name of god did that thing even come to be? I can't even tell what animal it's supposed to be related to. It's just creepy looking".
Obviously it had to have branched off from another species at some point, there must be a logical explanation for why it exists, but it's clearly been evolving in some isolated alien ecosystem for so long that it's turned into something completely unrecognizable to anyone in the outside world.

That's what the things I see in this thread remind me of.

indeed, it's definitively miles above the rest of the bunch but it still has some level of self inserting bullshit coming from the authors, since it's a collab

you made me realize that i probably should add a picture of the original characters when dealing with fanart, because then you've got cases like this

and then they looks like this

The drawings won't be bad as their own original thing, but I just don't understand the urge of the author to stretch someone else's certain character to such a distinct design. Why just not make your own character ? It's way more fun, I think. Besides, isn't the dark-haired guy... you know, a guy? At least I vaguely remember him as a guy, and one of the drawings says "Dad and son", so the boobage raises questions as well (and makes the character even more unrecognizable). I mean, I won't say it's terrible - draw character the way you want, sure, but it's among those things that I don't really understand.
What's with these fanartists making Daisy's skin tan?

There was a thread about Daisy skin being a little tan in Mario Party 3 and this leads fanartists making her tan or having dark skin.
Actually, I think the first pic and the one with the wolf costume are cute. Won't call them bad at all.
This is a page from the kid's book, "What Do Witches Wear?"

Okay, even political shit aside, this art style sucks a giant cock. This is so tasteless it is, in fact, antiart. They did not even try to try.
Also, why the hell witches?! Could've easily been just regular people. They could've went "Legend has it, witches were hanged and burned for being different, but they're actually our bros, so don't hurt people who are different" and it would make much more sense, but who the fuck needs creativity after all.

Also, "W" in WITCH stands for Will, so man, this book stinks. I fucking hate these people.

I guess the author is Wiccan and wanted to make books for people like them, but I agree, the art is total ass.

You know what's most ironic thing there.
The whole character backstory (Prompto) was about getting skinny, because he didin't liked himself.
I'm used to the tit scars by now but the cameltoe is a new level of trans fetish degeneracy

That last one is just a bunch of yaoi stereotypes; a bunch of fantasies that appeal to the female mind, in which gay men act like women. The artist (who is clearly a woman) simply took the next logical step and made the character actually female, with some superficial male attributes to preserve the fantasy.

You have a point. It's an evil Christian figure portrayed as an handsome young man with a well-toned body. And with an intense expression that instigate sympathy. It's no wonder the sjws would latch on this.
If I may add: Satan/Helel was never described appearance-wise (he was never a big red devil people commonly see him as, but that classic painting is close enough, his archangel form is one of his appearances before he fell), nor was the ruler of Hell. He's not even in Hell either! He just simply fell out of God's domain. He is not Lucifier either, they were originally two different guys, outside of the Revelation or a later Bible that combined them both because they happened to have the same name in another language (and think the Snake is Satan) and that was history.
Satan was pretty chill in the Old Testament, he's just a prideful little shit that is basically in an eternal daddy-issues phase against God. So yeah, how 'evil' he is depends if you're reading the original religion myth or the popular one from Christiany.
Semi-related fact: The upside-down cross wasn't an anti-Christ symbol at the start, but I forgot how it got so corrupted.
I'm not a Christian, I just like reading up on mythology. I probably have some Bibles wrong, though!

It's actually the symbol of Peter and is on the Pope's throne because that's how Peter died - crucified upside down.

Satan the accuser and the Beast being one and the same goes back to 2nd temple Jewish beliefs.

I love that they made Griffith trans, that is so based I can't even believe it exists.

The character that's basically a fucking satanic rapist who caused a woman to lose her mind from how horrifically he handled her and they decide to make him a troon. That is too goddamn hilarious.

>So far, majority of SJW art is filled with grown men cutting up their chests and having body hair and large nipples
>Lack of politics disguised with trans flags
>Yet it still gets called art

I wonder if the art in the last couple of years has gotten lazy. How many more artistic depictions of getting your chest cut open can you do? It’s like you get off trying to cut yourself even while claiming you hate your own body. Yet, these people fall back with the “gender dysphoria“ excuse when they don’t have real examples of why self-harm can destroy a person no more than self-hate could.

A bit of powerlevel, but my aunt actually does have vitiligo, and she has been affected psycologically a bit by having those white patches that start destroying the image she used to have, so since I have seen this for the first time it really annoys me, it really does seem just like a mockery of problems people actually do have
