If I were to be unreasonably charitable to that take, maybe they mean that when you try too hard to make something sexy, it can come across as desperate and repulsive.
That being said, given the state of art in these communities, I think the more likely reason is that they have terrible taste.

For whatever reason tiktards will view any white interpretation of a character as unacceptable unless they're eastern european, they view it as equally marginalized. Like if you make Pinkie Pie anything other than black you will be flayed alive, but if it's an "all eastern european au" then they don't care. It's like a cheat code or something.

They do the same with Mediterranean/Southern Europeans (i.e. Spaniards, Greeks and Italians), to the point that they might as well be another Schrödinger's minority like the Japanese.
Unless convenient (i.e. Americans being mad during Columbus Day), they don't usually make Mediterraneans "white", though. Instead, they assume all Mediterraneans are dark-skinned, curly and dark-haired, Latino-adjacent people. Bonus points if the womanizer/machismo stereotype is used just like every other Latino male character out there. This in spite of Southern Europe coming in a wide array of skin colors, of course.
