tumblr his too lazy to elevate themself to a beauty standard so they try to drag the beauty standard to they level, and jjba having gorgeous man and women make them remember that they are ugly/not cool as those characters ( they still like the série because it's look a little bit gay and the story is good ). It's make them feeling powerful to make those characters look like them.

It's a shame, because I like the design. It'd make a cute original concept to have a star-based superhero with that puffy hair and large star-limbed shape (because...y'know, hot gas and mass and...stuff?) but as Starfire...what could be cute becomes shallow progressivism.
