Boobs are Tumblr's natural enemy, so the Zarya thing doesn't surprise me. The tiddy armor debate in particular is something I've seen plenty debate about really, both in articles and Tumblr. If anything, it's made moreso because it looks nice over trying to emulate actual armor. Hell, just look at Fire Emblem. Even Awakening and Fates caught a lot of shit for tiddy armor. It's not really a topic that's new, and people will get angry regardless of what Blizzard does.

I can understand revealing clothes looking dumb on a gritty medieval game (even the most hardcore gamergate tard would question boob armor protagonist in Dark Souls) but Shantae??? it's clearly an anime influenced style filled with cute girls and silly monsters. Sexy outfits fit perfectly

The funniest thing about hating on Shantae is because she was created by a woman, with the specific purpose of being a video game protagonist. Said woman wanted a pretty cute girl wearing her undies out and a bra instead of a shirt who loves to shake her ass and dance around, including for money.

Ah, so It's a Bayonetta type situation again. Can't wait for Tumblr to do their research, find out, then BTFO once they realize they have no argument.

Not even. One could argue that Bayonetta was at least a product of Hideki Kamiya in terms of behavior and personality, just with the designer being quite specific about what she wanted to do for such a character.

Shantae was invented for a conceptual game, but the interview [on TMS of all things] is kinda clear that the creator wasn't doing it because she was hired to make a girl character. It was almost definitely a personal creation in all aspects.

With all the alt-universe Earth-kajillion shit DC and the like have going on, this design isn't entirely out of the question.

However, the comment is still completely ridiculous. If Jinx were black or brown her skin tone wouldn't be like that no matter how magic she is, as the Overwatch fandom so aptly pointed out again and again and again and again with each holiday skin

So yeah TT Jinx is white sorry OP

To be fair, the original incarnation of Jinx was Indian.

This design isn't really all that out of the question to be honest. The original Jinx in the comics was an Indian woman who wore white robes and jewelery, so her having dark skin isn't really unfitting. Hell, making her a dark-skinned girl in goth clothes would be a pretty great way f combining her comic and animated iterations. That all being said, I highly doubt the artist was aware of the version of the character in the comics and this was really just some PC bullshit for progressive brownie points.

Artist believes that Rose is chubby, with blonde hair, and Black, while Dave is an Hispanic, with blond hair. Also believes that it's better to have token characters who are seem to only have their race focused, rather than be white, but have things about them that doesn't have to their external features. Art is cute, and the artist can draw pretty nice, but wastes her art on being P.C. and diverse to all.

It's amazing how the people who complain about racism, are the same Tumblrinas who, rather than focusing an story, would rather point out the color of an main-character being white. Hypocrisy at it's finest.

funfact I just went to notice, this girl gang is named the "jaquette " and in french there is an expression " être un membre de la jaquette " ( being a member of the jaquette ) who was mostly used by straight peoples to say that a dude is gay, I hope the artiste know it because for p.c peoples I don't think it's really ok to use this expression
