Fixed it. :tomgirl:
Edit: Something very funny about pooners claiming female representation, essentially taking good female characters away from actual women.

"Personality? Where? These characters can't possibly be more than the labels I assign them. No, that's impossible. Truly impossible."
Isnt this that bug person? All their characters are some kind of queer or trans. Personality is a long forgotten concept to these people.

Yeah. Idolomantises. Their characters are all some form of queer and that's the only thing that gravitated people toward their content. They're a good and pretty successful artist but you'd think someone would complain about her characters being nothing but labels to slap "queer" to because that's the only thing this artist's ever good at in terms of character work. It's the easiest way to gain a following. Labels and "gay gay homosexual gay" first, personality uh... whenever due (never). Stuff like this is why I trust a straight artist with character development over a "queer" one, cause at least for either side, there's gonna be one that puts better focus on characters and not who's smooching or sleeping with who.

Random, but I'm off put by how they do bugs. You could replace them with a human head and it wouldn't look so different. Annoys the bug enthusiast out of me.

It shows how easy it is to get these people eating on the palm of your hand. Just slap queer labels and this people will gobble it up.
And if someone points out the problem you can just call them a whatever-phobe.

I still don't understand how people find gaslighting themselves into headcanoning characters who have never showed signs of being queer fun. Even for background characters or ones that appear in one episode. I could understand relating to a character and could see it if its a character who has never showed signs of liking the opposite sex, but why is "insert obvious straight character is gay." fun? For example, I've seen some very vocal online teens in the South Park fandom headcanon the one off character Rebecca Cotswolds as a lesbian and its bizarre. Anyone who has seen the episode will tell you that Rebecca literally kissed and flirted with several boys after Kyle kissed her. Yet her being a lesbian is popular because.....? I don't get it. Like I said , maybe its because I'm not "queer" but as someone that's autistic I'm not going to headcanon every character I like as being on the spectrum or support someone headcanoning a random character being on it because there's no fun in gaslighting myself for something that's never going to happen unless you point a gun at a show's creators to do it. Even on the off chance they did do it, is their entire personality that they're autistic?

Most South park fans dont actually watch the show, not even clips or at least read a wiki.
They likely didnt watch the episode and only know she exists and let their headcanons fill in the rest

I would say the fun of queer headcanons comes from two main flavors, shipping and virtue signaling.

Shippers just like two characters together and if those two characters happen to be the same sex they need to be not straight. Some shippers take their favorite ships very seriously, others knowingly over read into things or take liberties with the canon, but regardless it's just dumb fun because fictional relationships can be entertaining.

Virtue signaling otherhand is all about showing how you are clearly a good person. Queer is in fasion and you are ever so smart and sophisticated by noticing how they are there even in hiding. You aren't being held back patriarchal white supremacy because you get it. This sort of thinking is fun because you feel like you connect with other cool people and you get to look down on the uncool losers on the wrong side of the history.

If someone just wants to see their favorite character(s) in a relationship, I don't care. More power to them. Fujoshis have dragged multiple series away from the brink of death (see Kagurabachi and King of Fighters), so I have respect for them.

However, the minute they slap stupid flags all over the characters, it radiates performative rather than genuine. There's no way they do that for fun or in good conscience. They do it for asspats and an easy path to fame/virality.
