All this SJW revisionism of classic and beloved characters is just sad. Not infuriating, just saddening to think that people out there care enough about identity politics that they shoehorn it into fictional characters, especially ones from children's media and end up looking more racist, ugly, and stereotypical in the process. It's rather pathetic and ironic to be honest.

I'm just glad we don't see any SJW Tumblr art for the Mafia video games (at least I hope they don't and I'm not about to go looking) although you did see some yaoi art of Vito Scaletta (usually paired with Joe or Henry) on DeviantArt around the time Mafia II came out. Some of it was done in the game's art style while others were done in the typical 2011-era DeviantArt anime style.

You'd think with the 50's and 60's settings and the fact that Mafia III has a black protagonist, the Tumblr SJW's would be jumping in line to ruin the Mafia franchise with their collective autism but I suppose the graphic violence and the period-appropriate racism and sexism might be too "problematic" for them.

As autistic as this may sound, I'd like to see some "Anti-SJW" counter-art on Tumblr. Things like the cast of Overwatch or Sailor Moon as cisgender extremely physically fit Europeans dressed like the Knights Templar shouting "DEUS VULT!" and punching out the SJW-ified versions of various characters, just to see the mass REEEing from the Tumblr crowd.

Like I said, it may be autistic to do such a thing, but the shitstorm it would generate from the SJW Tumblr crowd would definitely be worth it.

Although, in all seriousness, I really don't see the point in this SJW revisionism of fictional characters on Tumblr. These people they're recasting as fat black trans people aren't real, so how in the hell will it make a difference for the minorities they claim to be in support of? And that's without the fact that a lot of the Tumblr stuff is horribly stereotypical without a hint of irony or self-awareness.

It shouldn't be okay, because vitiligo is a terrible skin desease to give someone and hijab is literal cultural/religious apropriation, but Tumblr thinks "it's okay because i'm doing for representation".

I think most of the kids who randomly slap vitiligo on characters aren't doing it with representation in mind, but because it gives them an excuse to make the character look more "special". It reminds me of how in the pre-SJW days of fandom, someone made up a fictitious "syndrome" that caused people to be born with purple eyes, and then all of the sudden half of everyone's OCs had it for the rest of the year.
