The whole Asian blackface thing might be also be their way of trying to subvert the cultural ideal that paler skin is better; being darker/tanned was an indicator you spent more time outside in a field as the working class (I'm sure you guys know this). I do wonder what the ideal is like in African nations (er, besides albinos being killed and hunted for parts because people think they're magic).
You know now that we're talking about this, it always stood out to me that Asian people in earlier Simpsons were always a lighter yellow than everyone else, but that's a whole other topic.

I think y'all would be surprised to know that even some hardcore SJWs dislike that person, because they saw that a modern "AU" of real life people (who were in a position of power, no less) where they're minorities is a little weird... well, a lot weird, but you get the idea.

Also even though Thomas Jefferson isn't on here, I'm gonna sperg a little bit and say I don't think a trans man would want to be caught wearing a Hatsune Miku binder with a loose-fitting shirt like that. It would make more sense to wear something matching the skin tone, or at the very least white, if they are confident enough with their body to wear an outfit like that. Idk.

The Yandere Simulator fanbase (or more specifically, the so-called crit fam) loves to argue that they draw characters darker because dark-skinned japanese people exist, and I want to agree on that but there is a limit between drawing someone a bit darker and varying skin tones to make everyone black.

I found what feels like almost a holy grail of bad tumblr fanart for Voltron. This is supposed to be their "redesigned Voltron" or whatever.

This is what the characters actually look like:

Notice they made everyone autistic or ADHD, except for the one guy who actually has PTSD. It looks like Keith has one of those god awful chewing stim necklaces, too.

They're all trans, with the old man being a "demiboy" and Shiro being agender. All of the other female characters are trans women and the male characters are trans men respectively. They're all not straight, of course, and both female characters are lesbians.

They aged the 25 year old up by 7 years for no apparent reason, and aged the 18 year old down a year, probably just so people can't ship them since they're an "anti shipper" and proudly proclaimed that shippers shouldn't interact with their post.

The characters that don't have pale skin have much darker skin, Allura is extremely dark in comparison especially. They also decided to list their ethnicities, and made Hunk Hawaiian despite being him being Samoan for some reason.

They all have weird big gross noses, Keith has acne or something, they all look disgusting. And have massive legs and tiny torsos. Hunk and Allura have big lips for some reason.

All it needs now are stretch marks and vitiligo.
