this doesnt strike me as sjw art. they just didnt draw them looking their age. besides the wonky anatomy and inaccurate looking ages, it’s actually pretty alright. no ambiguous brown-ness, no red noses, no weight gain, no vitiligo, no shoehorned lgbt headcanons.

In fact I'd say it looks like reverse SJW art because they look like 30 year old white men.

To list out the differences; they made her skin darker, made her suit into just a top with a neck, pants, ““practical”” belt, and they gave her nail polish on her thumb (cause that really improves the design /sneed). They also redesign the jacket to look more like a bomber jacket (if I’m correct about the fabric on the bottom of it making it a bomber jacket).

Really It’s not the worst redesign this thread has seen but it feels a little unneeded.

Like I said, of all the redesigns, it's the least bad on this thread, but that's mostly because they took the original costume and edited, instead of using their own ... art to improve upon it.

(Is it wrong that I like the "redesign" jacket more?)

Reposting official art from a manga and fanart from some random artist is different. Dude's already getting paid for his work and he isn't losing publicity because everyone knows who he is and that is his art. Japan is really anal about copyright so if someone draws fanart that "taints" the official work (like porn) and the wrong person sees it then the artist can get sued. You can't infringe the copyright of your own characters
