Tumblr can't draw black characters and it really bugs me. They always give them the same shitty black tone for skin. I don't know why this is the case because there are many ways to color skin and to make a black character appealing. Black people don't just have to look like they're super dark or super light (I hate this too). You can have a variety of black characters that look good.

All these Tumblr people trying to be "progressive" only make another category for people to fall into. The characters they make ALL have the same bullshit deeply saturated orange skin tone. No variations in the slightest.

For all of what these people do complaining about not showing black characters with darker skin tone they have no right to talk themselves. People were doing a pretty good job already having darker skinned characters such as Cyborg from TT or Edward from CB. They don't need another group of people telling them to redo their design to fit their petty needs. It's the same as the Blizzard controversy with no using that other concept art. It's not because they were racist. Some things just don't make the cut.

And now we have these people teaching a new generation of kids to make more of this horrible black character art. Because before the 2010's I literally saw nothing like this before. I don't know how a person who can look up a picture of a black person on Google as a reference can't color one. Drawing is hard, but repeating your mistakes is even worse.

Any Blizzard/Overwatch controversy is always hilarious to me because Overwatch is one of the most blatant "made by marketing committee" products in recent memory where it's clear they poured a fuckton of money and research into figuring out the best way to pander to every single demographic possible for maximum profit, and SJWs still complain that they aren't being catered to enough.
