Someone who worked on the show said that they headcanon the gringo-looking Adora as half-Latina because her VA is Latina (as if non-white people aren't allowed to voice white characters at all), which is why they enjoyed the "brown latina adora" art.

Question, do these people really think vitiligo only affects black people? Because white people can get it too, it just doesn't look as dramatic as it would on darker skin.

You know, considering how many pages of artworks there must be in this thread with vitiligo, I don't think I've ever seen it drawn on a character who isn't black. Or at the very least not dark-skinned.

It doesn't look as dramatic on whites, no, but it's definitely noticeable. Particularly in the hair.
