Hussie constantly says stuff like "oh yeah sure, [such and such silly fandom thing] is canon" like as a joke. He declared every homestuck ship canon once. And every single time there are idiots going "but Hussie said its canon!!1" as if it was a serious statement about the text.

Why aren't people dragging Hussie for doing a Rowling when people gave her shit just for how she handled Dumbledore? Oh wait, I forgot that when fans and not the authors do the "this character is [minority identity] even though there's absolutely nothing in canon that says they are" thing it's celebrated.

It's funny to think that if Hussie himself had said John was trans female all the SJW fans would have been pissed at him.
