To an extent, I think the forum is forgetting that you generally have an idea of who/what you are by the time you're a teenager. It's not like being gay in and of itself is hypersexual and degenerate, no moreso than being straight. The Craig of the Creek thing a few pages back was eh, and I'm no fan of the kids transitioning trend, but by and large 14-year-olds are aware of who they're attracted to. It's not "SEXUALIZING LITERAL CHILDREN!!" to acknowledge teenagers can be gay. 12-16 is a normal age to recognize your sexuality (you just shouldn't be having sex that young, especially not with adults.)
Kids can get small puppy crushes when they are pretty young, like it's not unheard that 5 year olds had some drama at the sandbox, and by tween most kids have had few noticeable crushes. While it's not like adult sexuality you can get some picture if you kid is gay. Sure this can change with puberty and as their hormones get really going but especially with early bloomers it can pretty oblivious what they lean towards.

Also teenagers are sexual, not the same way as adults but they are. That's kinda what puberty does and the cliche of horny awkward teenager does come from reality. It's immature, awkward and work in progress but definitely there. Girls that dress like hos for attention, boys doing stupid crap to impress girls, yaoifangirls, boys that play games for skimpy dressed big boobed characters, finding porn, first actual boy/girlfriend and many other obliviously sex related stuff, all that tends to happen kids well before they are 18. Most teenage pregnancies aren't from rapes or from being taken advantage of, just stupid teens doing what they want while not being careful enough. This by the way doesn't mean we shouldn't try protect teens from sex or sex related stuff, just that's literally the age that side really develops and so naturally some form part of normal teenage experience.

I was going by the description of a boa someone used altho calling it fetish gear is probably too far. Either way it depends on what culture you're from i guess.

Potential powerlevel but i'm from brasil which is a rather catholic country and boás / plume scarfs are more associated by media with drag queens, gay figures and mature comedy so i wouldnt call them "family friendly". They're not inherently fetishistic but they are pratically never worn casually, only popular during carnival when adult men want to make cheap "gay costumes". The more conservative, old and/or religious brazilians might think a shirtless young boy wearing a boa is degeneracy but brasil is a big country so that can also vary.

I never considered other countries would have different outlooks on something as simple as a boa. I'm from the States and usually when someone's wearing a boa, it's kind of like a funny dress-up accessory, not a sexual object the way, say, a leather harness or a collar would be. It's kind of like a swimsuit; neutral unless you want it to be something else. I get what you're saying though, it's interesting how a drawing like that would get different reactions based on the country of origin of the viewer.

It's not "sexual" per se but it you wear on in public, people will assume you're either a flamboyant gay guy or making fun of flamboyant gay guys. It's kinda of a "overt gay thing" so a very young shirt boy wearing one (especially pink) would be "awkward" to say the least.

The thing you said is interesting because i thought that WAS the artists intention at first but it guess there is nothing wrong from other perspectives. I cant confirm Laranzana knew this but considering the art is preaching a bunch lgbt flags, it's possible. They didnt need to draw JP shirtless with a pink boa but they did, so i (personally) dont think it's was harmless coincidence.

Have some shit that came from a discord I'm in.

Honestly, I see the potential in this. The art is just really amateurish and doesn't really give off that "tumblr stank", the pride stuff and the hair is pretty cringe though

The big distinction here would be between showing that the character is gay (hopefully with more than just rainbow pins because holy shit that's lazy design); and having the character in a sexualized situation or outfit either as a result of being gay, or to display their status as gay.

But since SJW art has all the subtlety of a brick through a storefront followed by mass looting, they usually equate "gay" with "sexy" and that's half the content of this thread right there. In the case of that fanart specifically, though? Eh, looks fine. I'm not a fan of the squooshy style and the pastel colors can fuck right off, but besides the usual LGBTfication of characters that had no business having their sexuality mucked with, it's not terrible.

View attachment 1348952 Btw you can find more pages of this "book" by googling it.

View attachment 1348975 God, I hate that smug expression on her face. It's so punchable.
I like how the common thread between both these posts is a female "boyfriend" with a straight male partner. In the Discord art purple-hair even has the "I'm putting up with this because I want to get laid" expression on.

Thought the nose ring was a booger at first. Why do all these they/them tumblrinas get those nose rings anyway? Is that how they signal to each other? It never looks good on any of them. At least neon hair has the potential to look cool.

True to the not being tumblr part, but let me tell you this. This person has been drawing since 2013, that's what the tumblr says at least. She started drawing these characters back in 2014. This is some of the first art of them.

No improvement has been made since then. And when people would give criticism her response was was just, 'Oh, you're being mean to me.' I can post more of this shit. The artist does vore porn too, and all the nsfw channels are spammed with it.

I'll add this but the same artist always always draws both of these characters as guys. Dicks and all. So why the hell the trans thing came up :story:
