I personally love genderbends, I hate how theyre now considered taboo in modern fandom. It's not that deep, it's just fun to imagine what a character would look like of the opposite gender.

It can also be viewed as a way of breaking gender stereotypes but that's way too rational for the militant sjw types

one time i saw genderbent fanart of widowmaker and mccree from overwatch. seeing a very typically feminine archetype (deadly femme fatale) and a very typical masculine archetype (midwestern outlaw cowboy) being portrayed as the opposite sex was really cool and unique. unfortunately the fan artist was bombarded with hate and accused of transphobia.

sjws hate creativity and unique concepts but what else is new.

Once again, no SJW art but relevant.

I'm glad the reply there was sane for once.

I like genderbends as well, particularly when the artist takes characters with very stereotypically sexy or unique outfits and finds a way to maintain the allure and the identifying characteristics while taking into account how different kinds of clothing look on male and female body types. The standard SJW trope of just straight up genderbending a girl in a sexy dress into a dude in an ill-fitting dress is stupid, but you can do a lot more with just a little bit of thought put into it.

Saying that genderbends are transphobic would ironically invalidate gender dysphoria.

Obviously, having gender dysphoria is transphobic and sexist. How dare you say your body is wrong?
A lot of them do legitimately believe that having gender dysphoria means you are a transphobic bigot. It's some of the most insane nonsense I've ever seen.

I've never been a huge fan of genderbend/rule 63 art (not because I find them """problematic""" but rather cliched/uncreative most of the time,) but as other members have said, they can be fun if the artist puts a little thought in creating such content. I mean, don't just change a character's biological sex and toss some stereotypical clothes on -- go the extra mile and make them feel true to themselves regardless of sex!

King Deddede looks actually pretty cool, although I don't get the hair tail. What I get even less is why they have earth nationalities and that they make little sense with skin colors. Also that isn't an three year old child, not even an early bloomer.
