She's picked a narrative (academic feminism) that is currently in vogue, and she is selling it to a target audience that is more or less ignorant of the subject matter and won't be able to see her analysis is trite at best and deeply misinformed (or outright dishonest) at worst.

I think she (or her puppetmaster McIntosh) was also fully aware that the aforementioned maladapted nerds would respond in an enraged way that could then be exploited to catapult the propaganda, to borrow a Bushism.

I don't know how we got to the point where somebody whose expertise seems to lie more in television shows and Disney movies managed to become the Queen of Feminist Vidya Critique (despite not caring for the medium at all), but the fact that more life-long, female gamers aren't bothered by this is concerning to me.
