I'm thinking that people do this to specifically Narancia and Bruno because they have black hair. Which is dumb as hell (RIP Mediterranean people), but at least can explain the thought process. Would explain why so many Japanese characters are blackwashed.

Can people stop with the "he/she/they" shit, or "any pronouns" in general? Literally the whole point of pronouns is to get mad at people who don't use them tell people what you'd like to be referred as, correct? People alternating between pronouns is going to get people confused about your gender, which here makes no sense to refer to said person as a "he", because she refers to herself as a lesbian (a woman who likes women) who's specifically scared of pregnancy.

Like Yukari said there's literally no thought process behind it, it goes hand in hand with the whole "they're trans because I said so" thing, but replace trans with black. When you question it you get hit with "UHHH ITALIANS AREN'T JUST ALL PASTY WHITE!!!11" which I can totally understand, but if these people were just drawing the characters tanner than in canon nobody would give a shit.

What mostly happens is usually a popular artist will draw X character black or whatever and all the woke artists will scramble to draw X as black too, which is why you see black Narancia / Risotto / Bruno and trans Giorno so much.
