This has most likely been brought up before, but the thing I've noticed is that I've seen very little to no art featuring characters from more advanced literature. Where's the representation for things like Dante's Divine Comedy Trilogy or Homer's Iliad? I know these people simp like hell (pun intended) for mythology but it's usually just basic bitch westernized modern interpretations of them. Is art of actual substance just too much for their genderqueer smoothbrains to handle?

I'm sure some art of the classics I listed exists (Dante's Inferno in particular - everybody seems to forget Purgatorio and Paradiso), but it really makes me think about just how uncultured these people are.

If you want Classical Greek insanity look up fan content for the book "The Song of Achilles" by Madeline Miller. The book itself is novel about Achilles and Patroclus, where the author has turned him into a guy who acts like a swooning and helpless waifu. Maybe look also for fan content for the game Hades, while the majority is centred around the game characters, there are also a few fan OCs around.

On a side note, I think the majorty of SJW artists can only read (longer) fanfiction because it’s already about characters they're invested in. The Iliad, the Divine Comedy, and every other classic is just too long and dry (and not openly gay and/or trans enough) for them to hold their attention span and make them care about the story and characters. I also think a reader of the classics needs a reading comprehension way higher than most SJW can call their own.

I think the things you suggested fall under the category of modernized mythology which would explain why SJWs gravitate to them. As for absurdly overly-long fanfics I notice a lot of them focus on being the biggest, loudest soapboxes as possible and it gives a lot of SJWs an ego rub. Fanfiction is one of the few places outside social media that validates their opinions (because let's face it - the people who attempt to put SJW shit in comic books and things requires these people to go outside into the real world where their ideologies aren't heckin' valid and that's not on the table for them).

Got some spare time and made an edit.

As someone who has a bit of body hair, it's NOT a good thing. It's fucking awful to deal with and people who refuse to shave are fags.

i dont even watch jojo but i feel so bad for all these character that just get obliterated with these weird redesigns
I'm honestly tempted to do JoJo redesigns, except every character is redesigned with Polnareff's outfit because fuck you.

This artist always makes me disappointed when I see them. I can see skill and the way they render is charming in my opinion. However, they completely ruin it by making every single character needlessly fat and hairy with an ugly face. Their art would look much more pleasant and approachable if they toned down on this woke shit. It's saddening looking at these skilled artists holding themselves back to attempt to appease such a noxious audience.

Nobody who draws this crap pays attention to art outside their little online bubbles, if they know any real artists it's usually only basic bitch shit like van gogh (van gogh is great but he's the absolute apex of normie taste. basically the breaking bad of painters.)

Also drawing characters from literature requires creativity since you actually have to visualize them, fan art of animated characters just means copying an appearance that's already been established.
