I'm just going to be blunt and ask the question. "Why did he reach out to them?" He's not a journalist, nor is he someone remotely involved (hopefully) So, how and why? Zuken went dark(?) after breaking his promise to get out of the scene, which he refused to honor. Wickerkid isn't known for being open to anyone outside of his own circle, so the question really does beg to be asked.
What is this non journalist, who works with children doing with people who actively prey on children?
Again, I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt, and I am most likely the last person to do so at this point; what he did was incredibly, unbelievably fumbled, and continues to be fumbled. Maybe, MAYBE, there was some miscommunication, or perhaps this is an individual who thinks more with their heart than their head; but this was very dumb.
Your job as a reporter and an interrogator is to fish information, which I applaud him on that for doing properly, but that comes with the psychotherapist position. Where he massively, extraordinarily fucked up was shooting himself in the foot with his viewpoint, that seems to have been doubled down on, that systematic abuse of children is not only acceptable, but persons who do not want children to be systematically oppressed, or abused, or fucking killed, are the actual oppressors.
People who genuinely hate evil are the bad guys, you know the only time that statement is true? When you yourself, are committing, encouraging or normalizing evil.
Again, fix your PR issue Brian, or at least tell Brian to fix his shit since you want to be guarding of him, because his very last possible support here is losing patience with him. Take the L, learn from the flub up, clean the egg off the face and move onward. The full call with Zuken really illuminates how much Zuken is either just unaware/ignorant to the reasons why openly associating with people who post cp regardless of their "ironic" intentions is wrong, morally and legally, or is aware but trying to sugarcoat/downplay. I'm thinking it is more of the former rather than the latter because he's been brainrotted by so much edgy chan/cord shit it seems to have fried his relatively young brain.
Let me put it into plain terms why distributing CP should be punished just as much as someone who produces it: Everytime you post the "funny" Daisy video, the real life Diasy will have to live with the fact that millions of people have seen something of her getting sexually tortured against her will on top of living with the fact this happened to her from people she thought she could trust and filmed for cash and cheap sexual gratification. This person, who at the time was a MINOR, could not consent whatsoever, and was forced to do this and have to live with the consequences of something permanently stained to her reputation alongside the mental reprecussions of the abuse itself for something she had no say in making. This, alongside with preventing sick fucks from getting ideas, is ultimately why even distributing CP is illegal. It is psychologically damaging to the victim and creates avenues for harassment for the victim. It is not a victimless crime, it is not some funny haha discord irony joke. These are real people you are toying with outside of your discord buddies and random youtube comment section people you are trying to shock. It why it ceases to be trolling and is genuinely fucked up and wrong.
This psychologist hack you are getting interviewed by should know this if that degree he got had any merit or weight but something tells me this grown adult retard rather enable this sort of behavior than combat it because he seems like a communist retard who's main priority is documenting subcultures of edge rather than serving his community (which is typical of communist retards).
What frustrates me most about this whole saga we're in with skibidi farms and zoomers online is it seems like many of these people came into this through imageboards, discord, ifunny, etc whatever and got groomed into increasingly edgy behavior by others who they themselves were groomed/influenced by hyper-online spaces and now we're at the point where they are trying to out edge each other by getting into actual illegal or borderline illegal shit (as seen in the whole com sphere, sharty, etc). Zuken himself is still a minor who is getting into this head first and still can't seem to comprehend why places like Kiwi Farms are sounding the alarm on these sides of the internet. Granted us at the farms aren't perfect either but its hard to not think there is some grand conspiracy when you got sick fucks like reginmyre just around the corner. I do agree that sticker baiting and low effort "everyone agrees" posting has negatively impacted the farms but Skibidi Farms and ironic pedoposting and zooposting is not the answer, especially when you are inches away from users who indulge and even post said material.
