Some reports suggest that the retard who attempted the shooting most frequently hung out in "“incel"" spaces, although that entire community is still a very small niche here in Tacoland. The only recent example I can think of happened a few months ago, in short, a guy named Lex Ashton tried to do something similar, inspired by the watered-down version of the kind of shit you could see on incels.is.
My best guess is that it's a clumsy attempt to get attention (in case the fake threats aren't giving him his dopamine fix).
