Skyler used to run his own networking solutions company and IIRC bragged about how secure his systems were.

This drew the interest of @Fancy Bear, an actual, honest-to-God international cyber-criminal organization who proceeded to make posts in this thread highlighting how they gained access to his shit and could have easily stolen sensitive information from his clients, if he had any. Skyler smug posted in this thread about how unbothered he was, so they dug deeper and somehow gained access to his ETH wallet.

Skyler once again smug-posted, so Fancy Bear transferred out a miniscule amount of ETH to call his bluff. Skyler freaked the fuck out and finally Shut It All Down because a substantial amount of his net worth was in crypto and he'd previously posted bragging about it.

@Fancy Bear offered @Null some of the ETH from Skyler's wallet, but the ooperator declined to keep his nose clean. I imagine Mr. Ittner would offer a very different version of these events, but it's all documented in this thread.
