You're not the first raving incompetent I've seen make that mistake. I'm on another forum where a self-proclaimed cybersecurity expert claimed to have my IP address, as if that were some sort of threat. I tried to explain what a VPN was. I don't think the dumb SOB caught on.

So he's allegedly self-employed in some IT capacity, and fancies himself tech-savvy, and probably had plans to go on to something bigger and better in the future. And then he chose to declare public jihad against his gay-loving Catholic college, and built a website to draw attention to his complaints--thus ensuring his name would be linked to that controversy.
And yet he never purchased the domain for his own totally unique name. One of the most basic means of managing his own online identity, and he just never bothered with it. And now he's all butthurt because somebody else did, and is using it to showcase his own tone-deaf, arrogant, obnoxious behavior (and mockery thereof) ?

You can launch Denial of Service attacks from Tor just fine. Just not traffic flood attacks. Many denial of service attacks exploit the target’s configuration or software instead, taking it down with a light payload.
You’re absolutely right that Tor is lousy for bandwidth intensive distributed denial of service attacks.

Yeah that's what I meant, you gotta have poor software to be attacked this way. In certain circle "siege over tor" became a meme meaning an attack on some obviously exposed vulnerability.

@Skylar Ittner, why are you charging $35 to rebuild a computer (putting all the parts back together and cleaning dust/dirt), $20 to replace Windows with a Linux distro when it's F R E E, $20-$25 to turn a hard drive into a external USB drive when SATA to USB cables don't go for that much, and including basic cleaning (wiping down the monitor/case and using compressed air) for free when you buy another service all on your site???
