A correctly placed upper and lower jaw has LOTS of functional and aesthetic value. Form follows function. If your jaws and teeth are in the correct place, your teeth wear down slower and you can chew all types of food without any difficulty. Your airway is larger, so you are less likely to develop sleep apnea or other breathing disorders

There is a big difference between faulty genes or complications at birth causing facial deformities with facial features that don't fit somebody's arbitrary standard of "attractiveness".
