Last few months consist of minor braces adjustments to soldify the teeth into the perfect position.

I get the gist of what you're saying. All I know is that the only thing that straightened out my underbite was my braces. And then again when I had a crossbite as a result of not having a retainer when I apparently needed it, but that's beside the point.

If you're underbite isn't very large, then braces can fix the dental malocclusion by flaring the incisors/canines at an angle to meet the lower teeth. However, the skeletal malocclusion (bone) between the upper jaw and lower jaw still exists, even after the teeth have been fixed. It has been "masked." The ideal position for the teeth / oral health /aesthetics is a slight skeletal overbite(upper jaw is slightly in front of lower jaw), but in your case it would be an extreme pain. They'd have to do braces back to the underbite and then do surgery so the teeth overlap. Not to mention that insurance would probably consider it purely cosmetic and not cover the surgeon's fee.

@Stoned Tablet what precisely did you talk about involving "aesthetics" on Sluthate.com? You've mentioned it but haven't given a very detailed account.
