So, slight power level, but I used to use Chatango to chat with a group of friends of mine for a RP. Because I always ended up using Alice Margatroid as my avatar, I eventually set all of my settings for my Chatango account to reflect Alice. The weird thing about Chatango is that you can apparently search user profiles, which led to me getting a bunch of weird invites for Internet dating or pics or dick pics or all of that weird shit.

Yeah, this guy right now? ... He reminds me of those weirdos.

In my experience, they seem to get off to creeping people out. It's like an endless cycle of perversion for them. Unfortunately, the best way to deal with them is either to play along, or openly mock them. The former feels slimy as hell, and the latter's just going to get you kicked.

So far, no one on Chatango has ever picked up on the fact that I was supposed to be RPing Alice.

Which is a shame, because I would've entertained them out of just being purely impressed that someone made the connection. (And then leave a week later and take a hot shower to forget everything.)
