Small things that really annoy you in media

1) Rarely do actors look winded, sweaty, totally exhausted after supposedly running for their lives. That man, that woman, they do not look tired at all. They're not out of breath. They do not look disoriented and scared.

2) Movies and shows rarely create realistic bruising, swelling, discolored wounds or anything of the sort. The show wants me to believe a man got whacked in the head and yet there's no visible wound? People look utterly grotesque after serious injuries even if there's no visibly torn skin on the outside. How is it blood and gore can be realistically simulated yet very basic injuries are totally absent?

I haven't watched any TV in years, but I fucking hated, and still hate, sitcom laugh tracks.
Been saying it for literal decades by now but i'd murder for a version of Roseanne with the laugh track edited out. I know many shitty sitcoms used the laugh track as a crutch (and because it was the style at the time) but that show did not need it, it had impeccable writing and delivery. Tried to rewatch it many years ago and the laugh track made it completely unwatchable for me.

Edit for some thread tax: People having a phone conversation and hanging up without saying "Okay, bye" or giving any other verbal clue that they are about to hang up. Who the fuck does that? Were the writers all raised by animals? It's the rudest shit and i'd get mad if someone did that to me IRL.

TV shows that start one "topic" and then say "We'll get back to that in a bit, but let's look at..."
My parents used to watch those airport/boarder patrol shows, and they do this a lot. Even worse is that, when they come back, they give a recap, and then leave on another cliffhanger. About two thirds of the show is just recaping the same thing they already covered.

Related to that, unrelated bullshit nobody likes. Court Cam is a great example. Meant to be outragous court clips. Suspects starting fights, the judge and defendant recognizing each other from school, escape attempts, that kind of thing. But some episodes are unwatchable because they're 50% or more of "victim impact statements". Basically a family member gets on the stand crying and talking about how the victim had their whole life ahead of them, how they were going to be a doctor, etc.

I dont watch TV if I can help it. A while back I was round at someone’s and they had game of thrones on and I was irrationally annoyed at how they were in the far north wearing multiple layers of furs and what have you but nobody hat a fucking hat on.
Since then I’ve noticed that a lot. Cold scenes, never a hat.
Tbf, hats obscure a lot of features and can make it harder to know who is onscreen.

I hate on-the-nose songs.

I'm watching Novocaine, about a guy who can't feel pain and what song does it open with? "Everybody Hurts".

And while I didn't totally hate Daredevil: Born Again (admittedly, killing off Foggy immediately didn't make me feel too good about it), there's the scene at a ball with Fisk and Vanessa dancing, to what song? "We'll Take Manhattan".

I mean, I thought I hated the use of old songs in media because of nostalgia making a movie seem better than it actually is, but taking away subtlety? Just fuck off.
