Human ingenuity (and desperation) has come up with a myriad of gadgets, techniques and solutions that make every day life a little more bearable for all of us.
Use this thread to post and celebrate the small things that get you through the day

I dedicate my post to the small brush attachment of my vacuum that lets me brush the annoying dust and specks out of all kinds of cracks and crevices where suction alone would simply not do it.
Honorable mention to using vinegar, baking soda and boiling water to clear a blocked sink.

Bird feeders. Its not that fancy but they let you easily feed a good sized crowd of them by just utilizing a bit of old chicken wiring and gravity. I'm sure there's tons of fancier options but it works like a charm. I like watching them gather around and enjoy their seeds.

i would like to thank pockets
currently i have my phone, my wallet, my keys, my phone charger, earbud case and my passport just in my pants.
i have no idea how people can live without pockets

My contribution has to be the river, I walk along it on my way to work and it's just so mesmerizing and calming. There are flowers that bloom by it in the spring and it's just a consistent, small background in my life that makes me have some comfort in knowing it'll always be there when I get up and go no matter how bad im feeling. And in the summer, there's such a nice cool breeze and the smell of the water is nice and refreshing.

Salt. People used to go to war over it. Used to be a commodity we'd trade for. Now we can just buy as much as we want for next to nothing.

Coffee in the morning.
I don't mean in a "Don't talk to me until I've had my coffee" way, I mean there's something really wonderful and comforting to waking up and having some coffee. It makes getting out of bed worth it some days.

Q-tips. I can't imagine cleaning my ears with some kind of not-soft-and-cottony object.

1. When shit doesn't hit the fan. This is agnostic to the quantity of shit;l
* grocery shopping and everything I need is in stock
* using a self-checkout without the device going haywire.
* being able to login to a website with the password I've used for years on the PC live used for years without having to solve a CAPTCHA or go fish a validation code out of my email account (which was previously validated, mind you).

2. When I hit two consecutive green lights in a row while driving without having to break the sound barrier in order to do so.

Those have only attracted squirrels in my experience, which isnt bad, I love those wily little fuckers.

Shoutout to my stiletto switchblade which outside of regular cutting purposes I also use as a kitchen knife, a screwdriver, a paper staple remover, and a nail trimmer. Have to yet use it as a razor.

Having a boss this is also a pastor. He has been a small mentor to me with my professional growth. Rarely are managers ever willing to invest in the people they work with.

I saw a midget.

Aries Spears said it best:
I don't give a fuck how bad your day is, you see a midget, you perk up. Because when you leave your house, you're not guaranteed to have a midget sighting. You're not guaranteed! How often do you leave your house and spot a midget? It's rare. You could be having the worst day in the world, you see a midget, you be like, "Oh shit, a midget!"
