Some obscure PBS kid show fandoms can be something. Arthur is a mixed bag. Arthur either has weird ships, and awkward character theories. Still it can be a pretty chill fandom.

Land Before Time is one that had a cluster of fans. Mainly ones who like the films beyond the first movie and the animated series fans.

I would nominate 4chan's /v/ draw thread. A bunch of degenerates will spam the thread with their requests, trying to get free nudes for free from a bunch of hacks and wannabe artists who don't realize they get money for draw furry porn (true, they would lose their dignity in process, but they already on 4chan, so it was gone to begin with). They have some weird obsessions, like with Aigis, the Persona 5 twins, and now with an unfinished Japanese Metroidvania game where the female protagonist is raped by monsters when you loose.

For something slightly different the bee keeping community.

For a start the main bee keeping organisation in the UK took a sponsor deal with Bayer (basically Monsanto) and advertised their various herbicides. Beyer used it as nice advertising on their bottles that it was "approved" by the bee keeping association. Yes, the bee keeping association was advertising and approving chemicals proved to be killing the bee populations.

Then there are the various forms/groups where 99% of information is a combination of "I recon", "I've always done it that way" and "someone told me". Come to a discussion with actual evidence and you will be jumped on about how the experts know nothing and they've never had a problem doing it their way.

Every autumn when it is coming to time to treat for veroa with oxalic acid there will always be multiple many page arguments about brand x vs brand y vs generic OA, when all of them are 100% pure OA crystals. Every time you get loads arguing that the £20 version must be better than the £0.50 generic one because of the price and/or packaging and then the other side calling them idiots. Then the inevitable lawfags turn up about how you can't use the generic and have to buy the expensive version.

The largest UK Facebook page faced a law suit last year from the bee keeping association because the group had more members than theirs and they should have the most groups because they're the major association. The stupid thing was the group admin settled and turned the group over to the boomer association to shit up with their mandatory membership fee (for joining a Facebook group!) and normie as fuck admins.

Alternatehistory.com. Nerds talking about alternate history, with a large politics section that leans liberal/left (Fun fact: you need to be a member to see these forums). Pretty-standard stuff.

What makes it special is the Alternate History Wiki, specifically its Hall of Infamy, where the good members of the forum have listed the various lolcows they have banned over the years. Mostly these you standard-issue Nazis or the like, but sometimes some really special people appear. Like the Israeli that wanted to nuke all other surrounding nations or the Sinophile who took on another user's identity for three years to evade a ban. Most wonderfully, there was a Korean user than wanted to ethnically cleanse Siberia of Indo-Europeans to secure a future for the pan-Altaic children. All for a group many linguists believe does not exist.

Also, there were some fierce "Pony Wars", a sure sign that there is something very deeply wrong with your community.

Ah yes, they were everywhere back in 2012-2013 i think, flooding all threads about the game (and sometimes, other RPGs) with fan theories, headcanons and creppypasta material, nowadays it seems they are not as prominent as they used to be, probably most of them moved towards Undertale, Yume Nikki and other indie walking simulators

The Bemani community (fans of music games)'s most popular forum has an undercurrent of pedophilia. Particularly from Pop'n Music players. The guy who runs said forum, Chris "sherl0k" Balcum, is a pretty arrogant dipshit too. AFAIK he's not a lolcow, but he comes off as a smug prick who wants people to worship him akin to Something Awful's 00's-era administration, and I wouldn't piss on him if he were on fire. He's one of those types who'll ask for criticism, and ban you if you don't kiss his ass. And considering the board's invite-only and full of good, obscure information you can't find anywhere else, because most people don't give a shit about music games, it's better to just stay quiet.

Also, the Bemani community has nothing to do with the Guitar Hero & Rock Band communities. There's very little crossover. Guitar Hero's popularity from '05-'10 was a nice salt mine, though.

A very specific section of the RWBY fandom- the Bumbleby shippers, aka the Wasps. They're pretty much the Klance shippers of RWBY. They're aggressive, toxic, and love to harass people who don't agree with their opinions. They legit ran one of my buddies off of tumblr for the horrific crime of liking a character they deemed "problematic" and have a penchant for making literally everything in the show about their ship.

And unlike with Klance, the writers pander to the fuckers all the goddamn time, which only makes them feel more justified in being jackasses to literally everyone. The pandering has gotten to the point where the plot and characters are suffering from it, and that, combined with how hostile the shippers have made the fandom, is causing the show to hemorrhage viewers. It's almost cathartic, in an extremely depressing way.
