A thought occurs: you have two types of sentient beings, humans which look like cartoon representation of humans and critter which are more stylized. Considering the live-action characters such as Gwimbly and Salty are actually stylized representations in this cartoon, does that make them critters?

What about the worms? They're not human of course but aren't exactly critters either, they're just worms. And what about the more humanoid critters like Mr. Boss? How does that work? At least I feel like he'd count as one.

Well first off....gwimbly is mo-capped by a smaller YouTuber. But I get your point tho. I love to see the "logic" of the smiling friend's world that Zach and Micheal have concocted.

While getting the wacky stuff from most cartoons it's always paired with a visceral realism. How the characters react to and compensate for this is very surrealistic. If a little critter has its head hit by a hammer, they have a seizure. When the boss breaks his finger to show Allen what a paper clip looks like, he reacts to it as if he broke his finger. There's a continuity and logic to this world that I love seeing unfold.
