But as soon as the bug of knowledge was like "bro do you know about computers?" and it was the same stepping over each other, repeated premise, it really took me out of the whole episode.
Honestly yes, I think the realistic dialogue thing is almost like baby teeth, it was really useful at one point, but they've shown their writing chops, I think it would really serve them to save the realistic dialogue exclusively for when characters are chatting, and not use it as a joke in and of itself. The computer help joke ran too long, if it had been shorter, say only a 5 second exchange, it would've been a lot less jarring.

I think going for a serious tone was very good this time around, and I think shoving in a joke for the hell of it at the emotional climax was a bit of poor taste. Still a great episode to my eye though.

Imo the best "realistic dialogue" the show has ever done was just offhand stuff like Charlie coughing and going "scuse me, heavens" and carrying on. It's funny because it's mundane and you don't expect it, and it also makes the characters feel more unique.

Ironically despite this off the cuff style humor being Zach Hadel's bread and butter, the character that excels at it the most is the Boss. He's literally unpredictable so almost every seen with him is great.

They need to stop with the uh, the Rick, uh, R-Rick and Morty, uh, freakin, Rick and Morty style extended s-stuttering that, kinda goes nowhere, but it reminds you of real life cause it's not, you know, it's not very eloquent, real life isn't very eloquent.

This show has entered season 3 and we know how funny it can be, they need to start getting out of their comfort zone. The show having obvious slapped together plots and improvised gags was endearing in Season 1, but they can't keep scraping by on that in Season 3, the audience is getting more used to it.

So Mr. Frog didn't eat that mom's baby apparently.

This week's episode wasn't terribly interesting or funny to me. I hope it at least means that this is the last Mr. Frog focused episode cause I think he's served its purpose.
I have something to get off my chest. After this week's episode, I kept the adult swim stream on my other monitor playing. After the set of Smiling Friends finished, Adult Swim started airing this show (it was a different episode).

It was one of the most mind numbing, uninteresting waste of resources I've ever seen in my miserable life. I take back what I said, I would rather Smiling Friends to make a 100 episodes of similar quality than giving a budget to people making this shit. I cannot put into words how bad this shit is. I thought it was gonna be like Moral Orel or something. But it's just some preachy faggot shit with its main gimmick being that it's in Spanish. I hope Trump deports everyone involved in the show and then blows them up in international waters via drone strike.

Ach man, see I might get some pushback for this one, but honestly the boss might be my least favorite character of the primary 5! Other than maybe Glep because he's sort of... almost a non-character? The Boss can be funny, but I feel like they often use him as a one-note shock value character! I think the Silly Samuel episode characterized the Boss really well though, actually. I think he works best when he's a shady, profiteering but still warm to his employees, businessman, and not a screamer gif.

Allan is my favorite character personally, I like his place within the dynamic of the show, as a lot of it is obviously centered around Pim and Charlie. Pim is a happy-go-lucky good guy who loves to help people so he is very fulfilled by his job. Charlie cares about people, likes helping them and is good at it, but for him, Smiling Friends is just work. Charlie is the straight-man to Pim. Allan, however, is just a dry guy, he's there to do his job, he doesn't go on missions typically and finds them annoying. At the same time, he's not Squidward, he isn't against helping people, he just isn't the "do-er" of the group. He's his own free entity, and often plays as the straight-man to Pim and Charlie's schtick overall. I think he's very funny! He's very good, positive sperg representation. Not an asshole, just awkward, a bit neurotic and reserved, also has a hot wife who loves him, so he's doing better than most of the cast.

I don’t want to be a frowning fag but I do not think Mr. Frog is funny.
Mixed feelings here, I think the first Mr. Frog episode was really good, the second one I think Mr. Frog was meh in it but with one great joke, but that's okay because it was about Jimble, who was great.
I am happily proven wrong
Yes, new episode was great. I think that by going against the grain of TRYING to be funny, and instead doing something super serious with usually very zany characters is funny on a different level. It's funny that I felt bad for a mostly nude guy painted green who is supposedly the father of a murderous, evil frog that does not look like a frog.

Now that the formality is done with its time for the real shit
Besides the ending the only real difference is that the kissing couple eat each other. You might remember that gag actually, but it wasn't from the New episode it was from the season 3 trailer
They fucking put a fakeout scene into the trailer to be included in there autist gamer arg marketing thing, true fucking mad lads. Maybe it's possible they just cut the scene for what ever reason and the guy edited it back in but with all the other shit I doubt it.

The S3E1 "clips" really showed the hand that whoever is running the channel has some direct connection to the production of the show. It was way too much effort to be put together in less than a day, including all the editing and animation and fucking voice acting. Seen a few people say Michael himself is running the channel.
A theory I'm seeing on twitter is that Cool Autistic Gamer 774 is actually going to be in S3E3, but I don't fully believe it. The ending of the video you posted though does lend credence to that idea.

Do we think the moon is going to stay broken from now on?

I dunno... considering the Earth went from round, to flat, to round again, I can imagine they'll play fast and loose with secondary continuity for little things such as that.

Its become too much of a trope with the show at this point. There are compilations of "real sounding" dialogue from the show that run longer than episodes. I thought the slide show of Mr. Frog doing wild shit was really funny, along with his dad just being a dude in green paint. But as soon as the bug of knowledge was like "bro do you know about computers?" and it was the same stepping over each other, repeated premise, it really took me out of the whole episode.

Yeah... like, I'll admit I LOVE those scenes and will likely never tire of them because I have conversations like that all the time in real life and this show speaks to me on a visceral level when it comes to moments like that.

But from a general audience standpoint, I can see how it'll grow stale in their eyes if the showrunners keep betting their chips on what has so far been a lucky streak; eventually they'll overplay their hand and will crash *HARD* when people get used to it and stop finding it funny anymore, even if the substance of the joke is hilarious.

Tread carefully fellas...

I cant believe they turned the meme from season 2 into an actual mr frog plot point.
He is on the fucking list.

Can't believe Mr. frog was all in for his pal Epstein. How stunning and brave.
You didn't know?

Great episode. Really great but uh I'm still wondering if anybody has found a solution to the all knowing fly's computer problem.
I'm betting it on a hardware issue, he could probably sell his computer and buy a whole new one.
If I were him I would have turned it off and on again.

I would say he needs to run CC cleaner and clear out his cookies and cache

Ive got Frogse burned into my brain. I can't imagine what that scene feels like to someone who isn't terminally online.

"Oh yeah, that's a reference to this one famous picture of a guy's gaping asshole. Yeah everybody who's spent more than a little time online since the 2000s has seen it at so— uh, no, it's not like a porn thing. It's a meme, y'know, a joke. People save it and send it to each other when they least expect it, it's funny! We all did it to each— yeah, I mean, pretty sure I did at some point? It's probably still on my computer somewhere, actually. The point is, we had fun— oh, uh, don't cry, Mom. You did fine, I turned out, uh, not the worst I could've been..."
