The April fools joke is Zach announcing smiling Friends won't be cancelled, instead it will be moved full time to the Channel Awesome website and all voice actors who aren't Zach and Michael are all replaced by Doug and Rob Walker and Brad Jones.
Oh and the black guy too I guess. Forgot about him.

you click on the first episode and it's just a shot for shot animated remake of the first episode of Demo Reel.

Scott the Woz is an insufferable faggot, and is eminently hateable.
I fucking despise scott the woz and his group of retarded friends from toledo ohio. I will sleep while youtube plays and I'll watch old nostalgia critic, avgn or mst3k to sleep. And then when I wake up its scott the woz on my screen paused for my "convenience." Scott's reviews are the most unfunny videos I've ever seen.

Also they'll recast Linkara with Spoony.

I rewatched the whole show, genuinely bro there isn’t a bad episode. It’s just various gradations of good to really really good, and honestly man I respect leaving it there as one of the GOATs of funny tv animation before it’s mutates into something different.

Definitely an interesting theory that makes sense. One thing the guy mentioned briefly at the end was the thought that ZAM Studios was incorporated partially to try and bid for the rights to work on Smiling Friends instead of being forced by the network to offshore in-betweens to a Korean studio.

It would be sad if the reason why the show ended was because the network started to get greedy over the IP and wanted to play it safe by focusing on milquetoast industry-standard of making a cartoon rather than the dynamics approach that Smiling Friends used that was more creator driven. If that's the case then I'm glad they were able to exit cleanly on their own terms instead of losing control over their own creation.

Another notable piece of “evidence” is when you actually look up what ZAM did for S3, it was basically everything which makes the show the show. The “specialty animation” was 100% ZAM, while the normal animation was Williams Street outsourcing to Korea. Seasons 1 and 2 were co-produced by studios ran by their friends, then things moved to the Williams-outsourcing-ZAM mix for S3.

If AS wanted to cut costs by having less specialty animation, they would kill a major part of it.

Sorry to see Smiling Friends go, but glad that it was around for us to enjoy it and thankfully its ending before it goes the Simpsons/Family Guy/South Park/Rick and Morty route of being on the air so long, it loses what once made it special.

I'm guessing it's people who heard about #ChangeTheChannel like eight fucking years ago or however long it's been, and then they never bothered to research it further so their thoughts on it to this day basically amount to "Doug Walker = bad guy >:("

My favorite thing about #ChangeTheChannel was that everyone who was involved with that, literally every single one, came out looking worse than they did before and Doug ended up being just fine.

The funny thing about #ChangeTheChannel is that the major figure of all their problems was that one behind the scenes guy who "managed" Channel awesome and they instead fucked themselves by focusing it all on Doug, the one guy holding everything together and was trying to be decent.

Which is why the entire movement failed and Doug got a cameo on Smiling friends.

One of my friends has zero remote interest in South Park just off of what he hears. But then they smirk or laugh a little when I tell them the premise of episodes like 'Crippled Summer' or 'Go God Go XII'. These are episodes they can just do at will, but they don't. I'd like to believe just maybe they realized by year 3 of 'orange man bad' is when they went "oh shit, did we get swept into making the same episode for 3 seasons?", but if they didn't pivot then something is stopping them. Do they think there wouldn't be an audience since they've been catering to the TDS hornets' nest for so long? Or has 10 years of doing some of the most facile episodes fried originality out of their brain?
They could've and should've went with 4 seasons of the White House having no president at all. Feds entering the main office and talking to nobody, long 5 minutes shots of nothingness, simply retconning Donald J. Trump out of the universe, just as a way to twist expectations.

Maybe their backstab would have more impact if those retards didn't know about Jewario and other shit for a long time before change the channel document was made. They just decided to release the info to spite Doug after CA stopped being reliable money printer for autists.
