is this the first time a mainstream SOMETHING is making fun of the corporate fag art style and specifically adding a brown to the joke?
that aside Charlie and the others already have non-skin tone colors, adding the random black makes this bit funnier.

I assume this will cause seething on xitter/bluesky. ("what doesn't" I know.)
Maybe with these last two episodes they're going to push the envelope to piss off all the queers that demand Charlie and Pim be fags as well.

Call me crazy but I think the network forced them to do that scene where Allan was licking the boss. Maybe that was part of why they quit, there might've been a demand to add a female lead and to add even more gay shit. "FROM OUR RESEARCH, YOUR FANS ARE 40% LGBTQAI, WE NEED TO PANDER TO THEM!" and they both just saw the writing on the wall and quit. It's pretty astonishing they managed 3 seasons of this without this interference.
Adult Swim have to listen to what BlackRock want though, regardless of how popular a show is. There's a whole bunch of Jews that won't have liked some of the jokes.
 
I just hope Zach now has the time to return to his passion of searching the park to find "the perfect child", whatever that means.
 
On of the dudes who started as the storyboard artist (at 19 while in college) and ended up being the director for Season 3 gives a fun little breakdown of his history with the show.


The big take away is that Zach and Micheal are willing to give random internet animators a shot and move them up the chain for doing good work.

On the first season there's a gay tension scene between Charlie and Mip. Two dudes suddenly being attracted to each other, getting faggy and never acknowledging it again has been a comedy staple since forever.

guys it's just a fake out right? they're actually going to announce season 4 is coming this fall and that the movie is in production for 2028 and will be in theaters right after season 5 ends

It's all a set up for when Mister boss announces he's closing smiling friends leading to Pim having a mental breakdown, helping as many people as he can only to realize he doesn't need a job to make people smile, and then Mister Boss announced that that's a great idea and he's not shutting smiling friends down.
