I don't think I've laughed as hard as I did when the last episode's twist was revealed in years. What a great send off :)

Despite lowkey being tipped off on the appearance, I still was somehow not expecting the twist. I practically yelped how sudden the laugh was.
I thought, "Oh, is this where final villain Mr. Landlord kills her in envy? Or maybe they end with Alan being shown as shallow after her face is ruined?" But the answer was 20x better.

Bro, I have no idea why they said they're burnt out on producing the show considering the last two episodes are some of the freshest stories I've seen from them. But I guess it's better to go out on a high note.

It’s super easy to get burnt out when on top of writing you’re also animating, voicing, managing, dealing with dumb executives, lawyers, and censors, talking to overseas animators via translators…

Honestly the only way to do TV animation full time and not go insane is to sell the soul of your product and offload all your work to other people.

Yeah, funny how the hardest part of doing entertainment for a living it just dealing with all the business.
I recognised what they're referencing immediately

I'm gonna miss this show no one does humor like this
For those not in the know, the style is called "Corporate Memphis".

Don't know what I expected from the final two episodes, but a first-person view of Mr. Boss (knowingly!) fucking a guy in a robot costume wasn't it.

The AI being an Actual Indian was really great. Genuinely surprised to see something that skirts so close to race-based humor targeted at someone who isn't white in Current Year.

These last two episodes were pretty good but unfortunately they don't feel like a series finale episode. They honestly could've been shuffled to the middle of the season. I'd rather the Christmas special be the final episode since it ends on a nice resolution but oh well. You can tell from these episodes that they expected another season to happen but something happened and they went "nah". Oh well.

I wish they got a real series finale. I've heard rumors about corporate interference, this basically confirmed them for me.
Zach and Michael would've got insane or super mundane with the finale if they knew it was the finale, no way this was originally supposed to be the finale.

>robot ends up being some Indian dude in a costume
>they originally find him being used as slave labour without complaint by some fat slob treating him like shit

Overseas animation itself was seemingly the issue, from the discussion a few pages ago.

Seasons 1 and 2 were fully animated by their friends at Studio Yotta and Princess Bento, groups who they actually had personal relationships with.

Williams Street decided in S3 to say “fuck all that, we’re outsourcing to Korea, it’s cheaper”. Zach and Micheal started ZAM so 3’d still have the big specialty animation the first two seasons did, yet their new pipeline appears to be what caused the burnout.

That can't be the only reason. Overseas animation makes you have a bunch more annoying meetings late or early morning, but its not like the Koreans are so incompetent that you have to babysit them. They had animation directors like Shigloo to help with that, anyways.

They probably just sat down, realized all of the work it would take to fill up two more seasons and said fuck it, we need a break.

As a Grade A pajeet hater that ending felt like it was made for me. The expression on Mr. Boss along with the Fiver Actual Indian clearly reading his script was a thing of beauty.
