SneedChat Complaint Thread

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
@Null Figured out (part of) the problem with chat randomly anchoring. It appears if someone makes two posts back to back in chat it will anchor. It still seems to do it sometimes randomly but this is definitely one cause.

That's weird. It's like 99% consistent for me and most other people in chat are saying they're noticing it too.
Edit- just refreshed my browser cache and it's fixed now

Is it possible to not have the chat message input in focus by default when loading the home page?

I typically scroll down pages using the space bar, and it's annoying when I instantly jump to the bottom of the page because I've "typed" the space bar into chat when I don't want to use it.

It'd be nice to have the currently active chat highlighted in the selector, also having the @'s in the message have a distinctive look much like URL's. Not gonna suggest much more since the other nitpicks that I have are probably harder to implement and already mentioned in the thread, like the text to emoji parsing, chat message notifications or the weird anchoring issues that seem to appear only after some time of chat use now.

It'd be nice to have some way to set the feed to hidden by default when you're visiting a page. Mostly say this because i notice animal control has a chat now.

Similar to how discord puts texts above the image.

On that note: Beauty parlour talks A LOT and it's been mentioned maybe a longer chat history?

Women talk too much. BP chat can't sneed scroll far enough.
I only use chat on comp and via forum headers not chat tab.

I also can't seem to hover to pull up profile info.
