I do like the new features added to chat. It's nice just being able to click a button to embed an image, or make something bold.

/w @Username, message
/r

/motd is moderator-only and will set a permanent pinned message that can also be edited. This is per-room and changes to it propagate to connected users instantly.
/w is a private message. These messages are ephemeral and lost on reconnect. You can only send one whisper to a unique user every few seconds.
/r is a client command, once you type /r and press space it will auto-replace itself with a full /w @Username, to save you typing time or clicking.

/motd Please DO NOT announce to the server when you are going to go masturbate. This has been a reoccurring issue, and I'm not sure why some people have such under developed social skills that they think that a server full of mostly male strangers would need to know that. No one is going to be impressed and give you a high five (especially considering where that hand has been). I don't want to add this to the rules, since it would be embarrassing for new users to see that we have a problem with this, but it is going to be enforced as a rule from now on.

If it occurs, you will be warned, then additional occurrences will be dealt with at the discretion of modstaff. Thanks.
 
I really do appreciate that the chat is getting worked on. I enjoy it quite a lot from time to time. If you're soliciting complaints, it'd be cool if my username was Gold in the chat since I give my alms accordingly.

It really is interesting how much use the kiwifarms chat gets as a web-chat, when the concept of embedded web-page based chat programs mostly died like 20 years ago or some shit. Great work.
