I don't mean to be an edgelord about it, but just knowing the conditions those dogs were living in, he's for sure in a better place now. Rest in peace buddy.
Just fyi, snoopy died just two to five years shy of the average lifespan for a medium size dog, and even so dogs can live quite long even medium sized ones can reach ages of 20 or even 25 with proper care and regular checks for major health problems like Cancer or heartworm.
But this is Chris we're talking about. I doubt he gets anything more than a rudeimemtary physical every year for himself. Let alone cancer screenings or cardiology. So it's fair to assume he didn't take his dogs to anything more than a yearly vet check and probably to a cheap or free vet.
Now add on snoopy was fed canned soup in lieu of proper food, was never taken for walks or let out for exercise and much like Chris himself showed signs of premature aging and it's no wonder he passed so young.
Chris still has my sympathy for his loss and at least snoopy isn't suffering neglect at casa de Chandler anymore. But it's too bad that thick skull of Chris's won't see this for the wake-up call it is.
"You who pass by,
if you see this monument,
laugh not, I pray,
though it is a dog’s grave
tears fell for me,
and dust was heaped above me
by a master’s hand."
